So the 20th January, matches and opportunities to collect points passing by the day/week and still not even a murmur of getting a decent offensive signing into the club. Bit bizarre as he is probably the quickest we have, perhaps Beck aside. We all know this team is about as slow as can be, been the same for a number of years, crying out for some genuine pace out wide / up front.

I think he got rewarded again with a new contract on promotion last season. If I remember correctly, our reported interest was in summer 2023 when it looked like he was definitely going and it was a surprise when it was announced that he had signed another contract.

We were heavily linked with him before he signed his new contract and then played a key part in their promotion. Would have been a good, well priced buy.

Yep, we need to keep it in perspective as we are somehow still sitting in play off place and even the most optimistic, even Chaddy, wouldn’t have foreseen that. I hope Eustace sticks with us and that they eventually back him, although already 3 weeks late ! It would be more than foolish to lose two good, young, ambitious and aspirational managers that could have delivered a play off place.
