  1. Others may disagree but for me JDT had the makings of a fantastic manager. If they had only backed him in January 2023, I think we may well have gone up. This season, he had his legs taken from beneath him and was left to front a club in crisis. Despite this, until injuries and the paper thin squad was exposed we were riding high in the table and playing the best football for many years. The fact that he eventually got worn down by Swag and the off field incompetence, I certainly won’t be holding against him. He was a breath of fresh air and tried to breathe new passion, aspiration and ambition into a near dead club and a long suffering and dwindling fan base. Eventually, he may have failed but I think he gave it everything he had. For a short while it felt like we might be getting our Rovers back but as we all know, it is very difficult to beat the system / authority no matter how hard you try.
  2. Ayari looks like a decent player to me, one of the very few who actually looks like he can make things happen. Watching the warm up against Knob End, he was the only player who very casually found the net each time, whilst Gally / Dolan and others struggled to hit the target or beat the keeper.
  3. Blimey, you were Mr Super Confident at 3pm this afternoon ! Just knew it was a Swansea win when you had us down for an easy win 😂
  4. This wouldn’t surprise me in the least. I have seen Sammie look pretty pissed off when beaten at home and crowd let them know, he probably thinks leave me out of it and blame the other ten.
  5. Whenever a club needs a result to halt terrible runs, Rovers never disappoint. It really is sickening, almost unbelievable, how often we display this trait of weakness, it is almost as if it is the DNA of the club.
  6. To be fair, we might have got some undeserved results early on last season but the Gods had totally forsaken us at the business end of the season. Coventry, PNE, Burnley and Luton on the spin with everything going against us at the death, in each and every match.
  7. Virtually every week there are late goals in matches but when we need one to go in down Swansea or at Leicester, B’ham, Rotherham, fucking nada 😡
  8. Come on, just for once give us something to cheer in stoppage time.
  9. We need to finally come up with a late goal that gets us a point or better still, a win. Every other club seem to be able to manage it now and again. Without finding some resilience and capacity to come from behind, we looked doomed to relegation.
  10. We have been doing this for years now, it pervades through the club. Whenever we really need a result in a pressure situation, the performance and results are almost always dire. It is shameful.
  11. We can only pray and hope that some of these matches turn around in our favour. At the moment, relegation looks almost nailed on, we just don’t have a team of fighters.
  12. At the very least, you would think he would have his passport taken and asked to remain in Belgium until the appeal runs its course.
  13. For how long have we been saying that, it just never seems to go our way. Valiant effort but beaten, I can’t remember the last time we managed to win a match when it really mattered.
  14. FFS, surely he can’t be injured again. We are getting half a season out of him, if we are lucky 🙈
  15. We haven’t had a quick team for many seasons. The odd player with a bit of pace but as a collective, so slow and one of the key reasons why we never seem to move forward and won’t until this is properly acknowledged and remedied.
  16. Given our atrocious record, once going behind, and capacity for shipping more late goals than any other team, I suppose we have to be thankful for the point. Just noticed Ipswich yet again scored two very late goals to grab the points. I made the point to my Tractor Boy pal that very late goals augur well and by contrast, really can’t remember the last time we managed a late goal, probably Hedges at Huddersfield last season. Last at the death winner I can readily recall was Lenihan at Forest but surely it can’t be that far back 🤷‍♂️
  17. I watched him in the warm up before the Knob End match and he was very tidy with the ball, only one who put the ball in the net every time. Surely an upgrade on Garrett, that lad is nowhere near ready for this level, yet.
  18. Not sure about Remy but Dunny was there with his young lad.
  19. If you are a striker and don’t get an early goal, it becomes a real problem, often insurmountable. Corrado Grabbi was a really talented player but it just wouldn’t go in for him and the confidence drained, Chris Brown was hopeless but you get my drift. Telhalovic hit the post on his debut at Hull and in a couple of games he has gone really close at the death but should have scored both. Fine margins, sliding doors and all that.
  20. Talk of JDT losing the dressing room, I think I would rather kept him and shipped virtually all the players out.
  21. Sadly, I’m as confident as you are Somerset. The soft underbelly and lack of fight is just sickening.
  22. My pal is a big Ipswich fan and exchanged text with him at weekend saying yet another late goal and that augurs well. Contrasted it with us, saying I couldn’t remember the last time we had got a late leveller or winner but that we had conceded more goals after 75/80 minutes than any team in the league.
