Yeah, ironic! But Playing Dack further forward takes away from his game. His has skill on the ball and is an absolute nuisance to midfielders. Right now he looks poor in comparison to Reid, for instance, who is being played wide to accommodate other players. Familiar story. If Dack hadn’t been scoring this season (yeah, if my auntie had...) then he would be getting more criticism. A la Jordan Rhodes if he ever went 2-3 games with a goal. ”The problem with Mowbray” is that he picks his mates. By that I mean he selects “characters” and “attitude” and makes a formation out of them, rather than deciding on a formation or two, and recruiting and selecting players for those roles. That mentality (that players have to be right mentally) will develop a great team spirit - to a point - and that spirit will be enough in 60% of matches. However, when you come up against a quality organised side it won’t be enough - especially if you have injuries. The players playing out of position (Bennett, Brereton, Armstrong, Dack to far forward) will be exposed by opposition specialists. Dack up against midfielders? Ta very much! Up against a couple of centre halves? Not so much. It also means you are relying on the lesser “characters” from the bench which will weaken the team mentally as we bring them on. As has been shown several times this season. All IMHO of course. -

Which is where Dack plays. We did we buy (yet) another number 10 when we only have one number 9? Unless he is Dack’s cheaper replacement... -

Good post Chaddy. Spot on. It’s definitely a worry that the man earmarked to take over from Graham can’t play up top and has to go out wide to get on the pitch. -
Chaddy would be an upgrade on Brereton so far!! So glad we have Rich Sharpe around though to be the definitive word on things. Brexit no deal...? I’ll ask Rich Sharpe for you. US midterms...? I’ll ask Rich Sharpe for you. Life on Mars...? Bowie

He needs a cup game.

Agreed. It makes the signing even more absurd. Loan with an agreed fee is looking like a huge mistake. Let’s hope there is some method behind the apparent madness.

Mowbray’s game plan seems to be to start with DG then bring on Brereton in order to play Dack as a lone striker. It’s just odd.

Good news! We can also deduct the game bonus and substitute bonus. The £6m will pay for itself. ?? Hope we aren’t paying him per goal in training though. -

Sale of Goods Act 1979 Section 13 (1): “Where there is a contract for the sale of goods by description, there is an implied [F1term] that the goods will correspond with the description.” We were sold a Championship regular and were given a League One sub. Either Mowbray is using him wrong or he bought a dud. -
Jordan Rhodes: two goals and man of the match in Norwich win against Villa tonight. What a shit player.

Got it wrong tonight Mowbray. From 4th to 7th and goal difference knackered again. We didn’t deserve to concede three - but we did. We need a striker in January. We can’t rely on Graham and we have nobody on the bench to create. Dack is looking like he needs a break but without him and Graham we are relying on set-pieces and penalties. Total contrast to the Leeds game. -
Waiting to spend big money on this lad is like being on black ice with the brake pedal pressed to the floor. £6m down the swanny.

Goal against the run of play followed by a sucker punch on the break. Is this commentator Welsh? -

I’ve just said how fit they are but Reid and Armstrong need to work on their final ball. We are being robbed here. -

Don’t know what Mogga is feeding this lot but they look really fit. Armstrong and Reid still looking particularly quick even after an hour gone. -

So you though his well laid out post was stupid? By what measure?

I’m embarrassed that someone felt compelled to ‘laugh’ at this post. Dont let a tiny minority put you off posting continuing to post like this - because there will come times when you get fed up of them!

There were three posters who questioned his game yesterday. Trinidad Rovers was quite scathing, your nemesis R99 and JBN. The latter two were hardly ‘ultra negative’. You jumped on them straight away. There is however “a complete over reaction” to anyone daring to question TM, his signings and tactics, or any of his players. He certainly hasn’t hit the ground running and doesn’t yet look like a £7m player, let alone someone who needs to be worth £10m+ to recoup his value. He is still young but, by today’s standards, at that value he should be contributing more than he is. I was actually suggesting - in his defence - that he may be being used deliberately not to his main strengths so as to lower the purchase price but you jumped on that too. And in doing so undermined your own argument because for £7m he does look a poor signing so far.
