  1. Agree with @darrenrover. This is a must win game in the context of the season. We have to turn around this form we are in. Anyone who thinks it isn’t must have already written off promotion. The start of the rot. Anyone who says “we won’t get relegated” has already moved the goalposts from the target at the start of the season. Lowering that bar is defeatist and lines up a defence of Mowbray if he does keep us up. We need to stop changing the targets and excusing failure. We were here under Bowyer after he had peaked. How many time did people say “we are only 5 points, 6 points, 7 points, 3 wins, 4 wins off the top six” while watching us fall down the division? People even excused Coyle. A midtable finish this season is FAILURE. Meanwhile people are already happy with “covid” and “injuries” to excuse everything (including the players he does select from those available) and carry on with their loyalty to nice man Tony. We have to demand better and instead of the crowd getting on his back, BCD will help to quell any dissent, while meanwhile people will just switch off. Waggott will then simply blame the fans and ask Venkys for another few million. What kind of way is this to run a football club? Injuries or not, managers have always paid for failure on the pitch. Always. Except here.
  2. We all have an opinion. I’m saying I don’t believe the extent of the covid impact - anyone can say they have symptoms. Lots of occurrences of the same type of injury point to a problem with the way players are being trained but even the extent of injuries can be exaggerated. Managers lie in football all the time. I remember when Ryan Nelsen was “in traction”. When the treatment room fills up it’s a sign of an unhappy camp. Especially when managers start digging players out while their tactics and selection policy hang players out to dry.
  3. 1 Billy Elliot Jimmy Corbett
  4. Even Downing isn’t fit. Another great bit of business. Get an inspiring manager in and watch that treatment room empty itself. Patience is running thin.
  5. Link please. If players were testing positive for COVID then the team would be isolating. So he either misspoke or it’s BS.
  6. Lots of little injuries add up to an unhappy camp. It wouldn’t be the first time. Just needs a few new faces looking at each other going “what’s this all about” and the rubber dinghies start to fill up.
  7. All BS, easiest thing in the world to cry off with “symptoms” when the manager is taking the team backwards, but in any case that’s 4.
  8. Ah, didn’t realise every player was out with an ACL to go with their “symptoms”. Can’t believe you come bouncing on here after a game like that trying to put a positive spin on it. They say you can’t polish a turd. You certainly do put that theory to the test.
  9. Context: these injuries are happening on Mowbray’s watch, working with his team and in quick succession. That’s not just bad luck. Who will be out next?
  10. That was shit. We could be 18th this time tomorrow. Right now I don’t see how we are going to climb out of this.
  11. Pears is a Mowbray pick. Every chance Kaminski will be the number two before the end of the season.
  12. We are gonna win this now. They’ve missed two absolute gifts.
  13. That might be the worst corner I’ve ever seen. We used to be feared at set pieces. ?
  14. If we got a penalty now, who’d take it? Would Holtby be telling Elliott to give him the ball and settle down? Or another candidate, maybe Downing?
  15. Better hope we don’t fluke promotion under Mowbray then.
  16. The only person who could out-Colin Colin. Krispy Kreme anyone? Meanwhile Mowbray has us looking distinctly average.
  17. Colin has got Boro very well drilled, fast and fit. They look like a PL team in the Championship.
