  1. Those LT comments contain a few who believe the club might be looking to sell off some of its carparks for residential purposes. Almost an admission we'll never be back in the Premier League if true. Let's get ready to welcome Rochdale and Oldham to Ewood Park shall we? I didn't mention Acc Stanley---they could be above us for the first time in nearly 200 years.
  2. Mowbray seems to be actively flogging Armstrong. “Future Premier League player.” And all that. I wonder if his summer recruitment programme depends on it? I think so.
  3. God Almighty! We have no hope if there's more like him.
  4. This will be a lengthy process, time for some local Rovers supporters to get on the Parish Council and the Ribble Borough Council. Looks to me like Venkys at last see a means of getting their money back. If Rovers fans get in their way will they take revenge on the Club and cut off funding? You'd have to suspect so. They probably think they have us where they want us. Could be a pivotal moment in our history. I'm getting to the point where I just want to switch off. I have been supporting this club for over 70 years, it has been a huge focus in my life but I've never felt like I do now. I'm almost at the point of saying "do your worst and bugger off, I don't care anymore". I'd sooner be a casual supporter at Accrington or Chorley (never Burnley) than feel this debacle eating me away year after year without hope.
  5. If it depends on the Walker Trust ii won't take endless pots of money if the takeover is any guide.
  6. And won't go ahead with this apparently much needed upgrade unless the land is sold. Warning to fans not to object but to stay in their rightful place.
  7. Bloody disgrace that! Used to love walking down those lanes. Euxton will be a city if they keep this up.
  8. I see TM has described Forest as "well-organised"! Another team we'll presumably struggle against then. Exactly what he said about Barnsley. Tony ---they're all well-organised except us and Wycombe. Stop deluding yourself! You're not fooling us.
  9. Is this a good time to suggest that more fans join the Rovers Trust? If these plans go ahead the Trust will presumably want to put a case before a Planning Committee. Hiring experts to assist costs money. Only £10 a year---surely everyone can afford that to save an asset supposedly bequeathed to us by Jack?
  10. Why would anyone be moaning at Brentford? Is he saying building a promotion team takes years and fans haven't moaned while Brentford were doing it? He's had years and we are as far away as ever.
  11. I picked up a bit at the start of the season but I should have known better.
  12. So long as they are happy with no spectators (and I don't mean cos of Covid).
  13. Spare some sympathy for me then. I've been like this for months.
  14. We won't get 70 points either.
  15. If this current run continues we will be looking down not up. We haven't been playing the top teams yet we can't win a game. Unlikely that we'll be relegated, we will scab a couple of wins somewhere but not impossible and a long, long way from where we should be.
  16. "move in the right direction " as the song goes!
  17. The key word there is "finally", that season was a bloody nightmare.
  18. They built the pyramids quicker than this! (Mind you, Tony wasn't on that job!)
  19. Well done, good to see you are getting it. (I tried to write that without being condescending so sorry if that's how it reads)
  20. I don't expect promotion ever from this bloke. We have no chance. Good that you're not a fan of Mowbray though! I see you replied to me already before I've even posted this. Something of a campaign going here! I'll leave it there and you can troll someone else.
  21. No he didn't, you were right first time!
  22. Really? I had high hopes for him when he came, but, realistically I shouldn't have. I should have looked closely at his record. The situation is that he is getting worse. He was outwitted by Neil last game wasn't he? Or did I imagine that? When we lose all the loanees at the end of the season and players leave without a fee, that's when we'll see his legacy. As for "stability"----at what point does that become "stagnation"? I would argue we're already there.
  23. And what finances we do have have been spent well? Not that simple is it? The really simple part of it is that we have a poor manager.
