Probably your's. We won't be getting a "good old-fashioned centre-half" for a start!
-
He did! He had a bit of a purple patch there----did 2 or 3 things right in a couple of minutes! An Indian summer though!!

You seem to be on a crusade to protect TM. I don't know why a failing manager should be immune to criticism. No other manager is, nor anyone, anywhere in a position of responsibility, as far as I'm aware. Further you persist in reminding us it's been "only one game" as if we didn't know that and hadn't factored it into our responses. That aspect has been gone into ad nauseum yet you repeat it just about every post. I won't be responding to any more of your posts. Got to agree with Stuart that you are trying to wind us up

Well, I deliberately didn't endorse him, I simply pointed out that this could well be Venky's choice. I've no idea how he'd go but its been encouraging so far.....
-
Played right wing though? Can't cross to save his life.
-
You're forgetting Damian Johnson? I don't know how he would go in the job but I think Venkys would go there first.
-
Like a stopped clock is right twice a day.....
-
Its the scouting team's job to find suitable players. Do we have one ? Fit for purpose? Preston got one for free.
-
Time to rate Adarabioyo is in action the but you rate him without seeing him? We all felt optimistic about Palmer this time last year. What we needed was not a teenage loan from City but a tough, experienced pro. In reality 2. Known well before the season that we needed 2 centre-backs and in all that time we couldn't find them!!! No problem with strikers though. All the excuses under the sun. It is as easy as saying "we should've spent the Gally money on a CB". Probably wouldn't have taken all of it anyway. When it comes to defenders our club is utterly amateurish.
-
The expectation of finishing halfway will require" further defensive enhancements!"---Is that code for "new defenders" by the way?!
-
You can add infinitum but the fact remains we don't spend money on defenders!
-
You're a hard man! I am trying to be nice. He did indeed make a hash of it. But I thought Downing's effort was pathetic.
-
And what a blunder that was! Anyway you're talking about a striker there or is he a "wide forward"? We don't pay money for defenders.
-
They were also the only 2 meaningful chances of the game for Rovers apart from the goal. Teams rarely convert 100%. Some excuse for Gallagher , the ball came very hard at him. Any touch it was a goal though.
-
I don't think that. I think he lacks confidence. I also think he isn't good enough.
-
i would.
-
No he's not! He's 32 and I don't know why I wrote that. Obviously 3 good seasons left in him!
-
He's also 35,might be his last season?
-
What a really silly post. I know I couldn't manage Rovers, Mowbray doesn't imo. If I criticise Boris Johnson, should I apply for his job? Are we to live in criticism-free zone where everybody can be as bad as they like? As a Rovers supporter I'm not qualified to be manager but I'm bloody sure I'm qualified to critique the one we have. And I heard very strong criticism of TM's managership as we were leaving the ground. Bewilderment at his transfers, his selection and his subs. Very common comment--"League One defence"

There were players unmarked lined up on the left for a simple cross which came! The reason they had the ball was because of Bennett's blunder, the reason their left was unmarked was because Benno had raced over to the right. It it that simple.
-
Yeah agree with you. Sorry about that. Just getting frustrated at that point. Didn't expect fans would be rewriting history the day after!
-
FFS! Read that again! No way does that make sense.
-
Thank God for that! I thought I was imagining it all for a minute! Bennett needlessly gave the ball away and they scored. Whether someone else could have heroically saved us is speculation but the odds were against it. He stuffed up.
-
Eh? You sure we watched the same game?
-
Bennett's appalling blunder when he presented them with the ball----under no pressure---that doesn't count? Bennett was primarily to blame, there can be no argument about that. He knew it too.
