  1. My opinion too.
  2. Ok fair enough but it does seem to me like he resigned because he was fed up of defending the indefensible. He goes on to express views totally similar to the ones that are commonly expressed on here. Also, I read the first 10-15 comments from readers following his article. I usually don't bother because they are generally of the "support the team FFS" but this time they aren't. They are the same views as are currently overwhelmingly expressed on here about the plight of the Club. Maybe, fans have finally woken up and realised that we are going nowhere with this manager.
  3. I think you're over-egging it. Isn't this why he resigned? "However, I have grown sick of defending players only for them to show zero desire for the shirt."
  4. We certainly didn't have paradise, only comparatively!
  5. I'm thinking early 1960's. Don't know of Tony Charles.
  6. I remember County Sports! Wasn't it records in the front half and toys at the back as well?
  7. So true. Absolute vandalism. Many of the old buildings in Blackburn Town Centre were a joy to behold. I can see them now. Absolute vandalism. My favourite---the old Victorian Arcade, 2- tier shops, original tiled floor, one of the finest in the country. You don't know what you've lost till its gone and all that.
  8. Cheer up Len! Promotion next season----to the Championship?
  9. The patronising way he speaks about Nyambe and Chapman in recent interviews got up my nose as well. I can't see either being happy with that. Go Tony, before you do any more damage.
  10. Where's 4?---He was cheap.
  11. Well so do I! But, since TM doesn't do this and doesn't come any where near doing it, why is this an argument to give Mowbray more time?
  12. Getting uncomfortably close at times though! Kean was in a class of his own I admit, even lied about his dog!
  13. Further alarm bells ring when Mowbray talks about judging the team on performances! Kean used to do that, remember that stuff about how often we had the ball in their half or final third of the pitch? We didn't score or even get a shot on target of course and we invariably lost. Mowbray should judge the team on results. That's how he'll be judged.
  14. As for Ainsworth, his obvious enthusiasm for the Club is an asset but is no guarantee of success. Dyche had no affinities with Burnley before they made the decision to sign him, as far as I'm aware. We're just desperate to get this club back on the up again, understandably so we clutch at straws. We need a trusted and proven manager or we need to pull one out of the hat. Venkys won't pay for the former and there is no-one at the club capable of picking the latter. So we go on, week after week, season after season. We really are cursed.
  15. Shameful whatever way it happened.
  16. Fair enough I'll take him!
  17. Silly of them to sack him then?
  18. We had a plan, we were pursuing him for 18 months! Then we abandoned it at the last minute in favour of spending £5M on Gallagher! We should have had Toisin and Bauer
  19. At the end of this season we will be left with the same problems we've had for several Transfer Windows, but they will have increased with the annual churn from loanees. I'm assuming we're still in this Division of course.
  20. I doubt that many League 2 clubs could afford his wages! It really is a disaster.
  21. More or less, we need what we needed in July, which is adequate comment on the summer's dealings in the transfer market. As for selling Brereton, how much do we think we'd get? If we could get anything at all.
  22. If only he could spend transfer funds wisely......?
  23. Really? Honest? Staggered by that one. Makes his job easier then!
