Exactly, being 3 points from 6th means nothing!
-
Not if he's seen us.
-
I think you're getting a bit carried away there! I'm just pointing out the fallacy of arguing that we're only 3 points behind when the fact is we've only played 6 games! 24 games would see us 12 points off 6th wouldn't it? Probably bottom half.
-
We're only 3 points off 6th because we've only played 6 games!
-
I'm the same as most, I'm grateful to Mowbray for the good he has done but I do not believe he can take us any further. If we want to stay mid-Championship forever TM is your man.
-
Actually Parson, after i posted, I read that you didn't go and watched it on live streaming. Still wouldn't mind knowing how you stay married though! (if you are of course!)
-
PB---you didn't actually go did you? Awesome if you did! 2 questions; How do you afford the petrol (and the time)? How does your marriage survive?!!!
-
That was a great cross and header at Sheffield though. Shows we have another route to goal which has been almost completely ignored. Wide strikers my arse!
-
Number 3-----"have they any money?" doesn't feature! The thing is, even if Number 3 was included, Venkys would still get through!
-
Not the best game to remember him by!
-
And if he is able to play every game we will be fine.
-
Oh no! Another of my all-time heroes gone. Thanks for the memories Mike---there are many of them.

So TM says Chapman needs to work harder and we have to automatically believe that to be true? We haven't heard Chapman's side of it and I don't suppose we will. However we do have the example of Joe Rothwell to go by. TM similarly slagged him of a few weeks ago and it sounded a load of crap to me. I don't believe much of what the manager says anymore.
-
Yes true, but what sort of manager didn't see that coming and had to react too late to get anybody decent? Hopeless.
-
Is it really fine Matty? I haven't seen the chap play but it doesn't look promising does it? Looks to me like we are an injury away from disaster. Fed up with us trying to wing it (sorry TM) all the time. Still, we wait and see eh?
-
There should be a maximum number of players any club can loan out. And that number should be rather less than Chelsea would like.
-
If he gets injured or loses form, we are in desperate straits. This is a huge gamble which we may not get away with.
-
Never heard that one. I always thought it was Salmsbury or stay. The attraction was ease of access to M6 plus the local towns and villages nearby-- Chorley, Leyland and so on. And green-field site meant custom parking.

Encouraging for us that Bolton have been saved at the last minute. People have always speculated that we are totally dependent on Venkys for survival and have assumed that once they pulled out we would be finished. No-one could take us on with debts of our size. Bolton's survival should give us heart in that respect. -
Long gone now of course but I wonder what would have happened had Jack Walker gone ahead with plans to build a new stadium in the Salmsbury area just off the M6? I was opposed to it at the time but we were flying in the Premiership and we would presumably have attracted new fans from the west/central Lancashire area. Might have been better off in the long-run? Just a thought.

We have plenty of possession but we create very little with it. That's been the case since Day 1 of this season. -
I would be very happy with that outcome, but if they truly want that why is it taking so long? Why don't they splash the cash? Wolves didn't mess about did they? I suspect they have no idea what to do and are not particularly interested anyway.

The answer for English football is the German model, community-owned, low ticket prices, big crowds and international success. But it will never happen in ultra-capitalist Britain. Sadly. -
Not worked out then has it in that case? A wage for nothing.
-
No, they owe themselves £120M quid and they are never going to get that back from Rovers whatever they do. The worry is that they will just stop funding more and more debt and the club will go out of business which would be pointless because they could sell, and get at least some of it back. Any new owner would owe them nothing. Who could read their minds though?
