Agree---a total dereliction of duty. Moreoever obvious to us mere mortals at the time. But what do we know?
-
TM did say at one point that the Raos had got "too excited" and he'd had to "calm them down". So maybe it is true.
-
It is but its nowhere near as exciting. Modern football is all about minimising risk.
-
As for Johnson, what he did as a footballer doesn't really matter does it? He had a successful career after he left us and he's made a terrific contribution to the Youth set-up now he's returned. Faced with what the Raos are likely to come up, I suspect he's the best we'll get. Looks like he's being groomed for it doesn't it?

Thanks for responding DE. I'll respond off the Board to you if it happens again.
-
Fair enough!
-
I responded to this by saying "Sorry I don't follow this last sentence". My post was deleted!! Why?
-
We have to hope the form book goes out of the window don't we?!!
-
Once again, it isn't about that! Its his ignorance which, for me, demonstrated he isn't a Rovers fan. Its really that simple! And it "broke out" on the TM discussion thread because that's where he posted! Again---not difficult! Having said its irrelevant to the thread you then spend more time on it than those you are criticising!
-
I don't think we are attacking each other! We are attacking the troll! I am anyway!
-
You're missing the point I believe. Its usual to get"walk-ons" on here a short time before we play Preston. He is one of them. Once the game's over we don't see them again.

great memories of waiting for the Last Pink to arrive and racing over to the Newsagent----when we won of course! Just wanted to read the match report and relive the game I'd just got back from! -
Better than Bruce.
-
and that he would never come here. Christmas come early for Reading? I could cry.
-
I have pointed out somewhere else that we have not appointed a good manager since Raos took over. Its between TM and Bowyer imo as to who was the best---a frightening thought!
-
We have been in the Championship now for almost 10 years but we have never once seriously challenged for even the play-offs. You'd think just by the law of averages we would have got close at least once? So, in summary, I agree with you! We are stuffed.
-
They will on here though!!
-
Blackburn? You're not a Rovers fan then? Preston perhaps? 4 posts so far, 2 on this 2 on Brexit and all very provocative.
-
Fo me the Bauer saga said it all. Only centre-back we were linked with in 18 months and allowed to go to our near neighbours. And all that crap about how TM had told him he's have to fight for his place and so he sulked off to Preston! Who, by the way, don't seem to be doing too badly. A farce. All talk this one.
-
I agree---is this what we have been reduced to? Arguing over which of the 2 players is worse? With a decent defence we wouldn't be giving a thought to either of them.
-
Can't remember a time when we had fewer shots on goal. That's the point of the game isn't it? There were games over the weekend (and probably every weekend) where the game was decided by a goal-keeping error. We're never going to experience that luck because we are "retaining possession" in our own half! Old-fashioned am I?----you bet!

TM's policy has always been that we would improve at glacial speed over several years, getting gradually stronger until we had the squad to get promoted. Its a cruel hoax he's perpetrated. No other manager has never come out with that one before to my knowledge at our club. Most managers seize the moment when it comes, toss any plans away and go for it. Teams invariably surprise you, they come from nowhere to promotion, they don't have 4/5/7 Year plans. What's missing above all at Ewood is a sense of urgency. We need a manager who is only interested in success asap, who embraces the challenge and who challenges his players to be better than they thought they could be and buy in to his vision of success. Seriously when did Rovers "play our of their skins"? When did we last excite the fans? Its all too easy. too complacent, watching crowds shrink every season. We 've been out of the Premier league for nearly a decade now because we have never had a manager or owners who were up for the challenge. My favourite to do it would be Hughes but then we come up against the owners.

14th is not mid-table though. Bottom half is more accurate? Most expected we would at least progress.
