If he was demanding a lot of money, he wouldn't have gone to Preston
-
Then he's one! I actually think I remember him posting that. 2 points: its a view he's entitled to take. One person's view should not become a stick with which to beat the MB in general
-
Ha! "Strawman Alert"! Who said TM should be sacked on the sole basis that he signed Brereton? And if there was one why should the MB be condemned for it? "Disagreeing with a view on a website isn’t “decency” police, what else is this place for?"-----that should be addressed to Atko's Engine (great name by the way)
-
You've hit the nail on the head there. Never have I thought that TM was desperate to get us back in the Premiership asap. Professional football is not a leisurely stroll.
-
Yes---but you often make good points too!

Keeper?

Stewart Downing - The View From Teesside

No, I don't think relegation is on the cards but without those signings I referred to and if we lost Dack/Lenihan, I think we 'd be in the lower regions of the division. Remember we has a terrific start to last season with the momentum carrying over from our promotion season. Mulgrew is one year older and so is Graham, our sole decent striker. Raya was playing well till he got that face injury. So we are vulnerable without the right signings. -
There was a spitting incident earlier too, gobbed all over our player's arm. How could there not be a sending off for the stamp? How could a ref look at the VAR and not give a red card for that? Reckon she was scared to. Some of those Cameroon players were bloody mental, one in particular. Incredible.

Depends. If we don't improve the defence very significantly and we lost Dack, I could see us struggling. We are still as weak in key areas as we were a year ago. Keeper, centre-back, full-back and central striker. 4/5 desperately needed and they need to be capable of going straight in. -

He was great in Div 1 and still gives everything but not good enough for the Championship. No ill-will against him from anyone really, we all wanted him to succeed. -
Its given you stamina, that's for sure!

Nice post but I really hope you won't get the chance to welcome Smallwood! There's every possibility you will though. -
Jesus wept! I'm responding to your post which said "God I would love it if we did very well this season. The word eating would be good". I was attempting to point out how childish that was but, as usual, its lost on you. I never said you said "we will do very well". Get your brain in gear! Please remind me never to respond to your posts, its like Biz on steroids.

He'll still end up on our bench! -
Al that shows is that, under Venkys, we've suffered a series of rubbish managers.
-
We had a pot to piss in last summer and he pissed it away on Brereton.
-
We would ALL love to do well this season but not because it gives gloating rights. What if we do badly and everyone queues up to remind you of this post? This is NOT what the MB is for.
-
Mentally, TM is still in Div 1. I do not believe we will ever be promoted further while he is manager. Hasn't got it.
-
As you say----different divisions! Many of those managers are worse than TM anyway!
-
I like managers with a high success rate but I haven't got one!
-
In all honesty, that's the truth. If he were going to be a player who could justify the fee one day, he would be at least showing SOMETHING. In three years some on here will be saying 'don't write him off he's only 23'.
-
Its not that aspect so much, he could turn out to be a real player for all I know. And no blame attaches to him. But it was a ridiculous buy when it took up so much of the transfer budget and there were other areas where we needed strengthening. We did need a striker its true but not this one now. We needed someone who could feature regularly in the first team as a striker. And he'd have been cheaper. Even if this move comes off in the end, I still feel it was a terrible decision and a huge gamble we shouldn't have made. its a bit like that bloke a few years ago borrowing enough to buy a house and putting it on RED at the casino to pay it off. Lunacy. (He won by the way!)
-
Since he only appears every 6 months banning him would be pointless! Agree though with your comment.
-
Not on 6 I couldn't!
-
I did that last summer! (And got picked on for it! )
