  1. And neither of those two could possibly compensate if Graham was injured no matter how good Mowbray's management is. He could get the most out of his squad every week and we could still lose because there is currently no-one as good as him in that position or even close.
  2. Well thanks for confirming my analysis of the transfer window in which I argued that there were serious gaps we hadn't covered! I specifically referenced centre-back and keeper! I didn't know at the time I needed to include striker as well. I received a heap of criticism for saying it but good to see you on board!
  3. Why hasn't he started? That's the whole point! He currently isn't good enough to be picked. So, the conversation is turned to "he's one for the future"! Ambitious Championship clubs don't commit 7M for one player and put him on one side to develop!! They concentrate on what matters--------promotion. Once you achieve that its a different story. If he can't play we are back where we were in summer----looking for another striker or hoping Graham can see it through 60 minutes at least, three times a week! As of NOW we need another striker even though we are committed to paying 7M for one who isn't chosen!! Laughable.
  4. Those people were making their assessment of a player, as they are entitled to do. Rather than putting forward evidence justifying your higher opinion of the player you choose to attack them for expressing their opinion. IMO its an odd way for a club like our's to spend so much money. I bet we could have bought Reed, for example, and pocketed the change. He is becoming an integral part of the team NOW. We needed another striker now but we "invested" 7M without getting one.
  5. Don't buy this. Too much can go wrong in 2 years.
  6. Its noticeable that Dack isn't dominating games like he did in Div 1. No surprises there! So, we can assume he would have a challenge to replicate his performances of this season in the Premiership. Not saying that he couldn't do it, he has natural ability in abundance but I could see some Premiership clubs thinking that more than 20M would be a risk.
  7. We are supposed to be assessing Brereton here, not each other.
  8. Well, we're sort of in agreement here, those stats really confirm what sort of possession they had and I was making the point that they had no cutting-edge. If we had 68% possession we'd be winning 5-0.
  9. He's injured again though? I am a big fan of Chapman but we can't ignore his history. One for the medical staff this one. EDIT read your post above . Good that's he's recovering. But if he can only play a game or two before breaking down again then we should find an alternative.
  10. In an earlier post you were regretting that we hadn't signed another centre-back in January.
  11. Not really, its hardly an exclusive club!
  12. 68% of possession. That is astonishing, especially away from home But only 20 shots to our 18. Both teams had 6 shots on target. Conclusion----you had the ball but not where it counted. By the way you were way ahead on fouls committed but I can't remember the figure.
  13. TM continually proves us wrong! I disagreed with his selections yesterday yet Armstrong, just to name one, had a great game and Conway didn't let us down at all. I'm coming to the conclusion that TM signed more mid-fielders than normal because he doesn't want them to play every game. If we are to run teams off the park, mid-fielders can't play at that intensity 3 times a week. Just a feeling! I do wish however that we can accept we won't all agree about everything he does. Its not treachery to criticise him, speaking for myself its anxiety!
  14. Bradley Dack please note---sometimes you are better off where you are!
  15. Live on TV, travel problems, it doesn't seem that odd to me.
  16. Lucky escape? Just a thought! Now where can we spend that 7M to take us up?
  17. Agree but one or two specials at 15 quid would not come amiss.
  18. Similarly we have no idea what you're on about either and why you would strive so hard to uphold such a ridiculous premise. Not that its the first time or anything!
  19. Yes I read that too! Utter bilge. On that site you really can make it up.
  20. "frothing at the mouth"---gross hyperbole. Rest of it-----spin .You're shameless.
  21. You have to feel for their supporters. We have both been through the mill but at least we seem to be on the up. They just drift, seemingly indefinitely.
  22. Biz---that quote is simply UNTRUE. Its presented as a fact and its completely wrong.
  23. Even Dack can be held to a newly signed contract though. No reason to let him go till its too late in his contract to get maximum return for the Club. If we are still in with a chance of the play-offs in January, I'd be very surprised if he's allowed to leave beforel summer. This is always, of course, assuming he wants to leave and the evidence for that is surely non-existent?
  24. Yes, I accept that and am not a supporter of 3 at the back. Haven't heard anything since Mulgrew went off in the international so wondered if he is in fact out of Saturday's game?
