Well, we're sort of in agreement here, those stats really confirm what sort of possession they had and I was making the point that they had no cutting-edge. If we had 68% possession we'd be winning 5-0.

He's injured again though? I am a big fan of Chapman but we can't ignore his history. One for the medical staff this one. EDIT read your post above . Good that's he's recovering. But if he can only play a game or two before breaking down again then we should find an alternative. -

In an earlier post you were regretting that we hadn't signed another centre-back in January. -
Not really, its hardly an exclusive club!
-
68% of possession. That is astonishing, especially away from home But only 20 shots to our 18. Both teams had 6 shots on target. Conclusion----you had the ball but not where it counted. By the way you were way ahead on fouls committed but I can't remember the figure.

TM continually proves us wrong! I disagreed with his selections yesterday yet Armstrong, just to name one, had a great game and Conway didn't let us down at all. I'm coming to the conclusion that TM signed more mid-fielders than normal because he doesn't want them to play every game. If we are to run teams off the park, mid-fielders can't play at that intensity 3 times a week. Just a feeling! I do wish however that we can accept we won't all agree about everything he does. Its not treachery to criticise him, speaking for myself its anxiety! -
We were 5th a minute before half-time!
-
Bradley Dack please note---sometimes you are better off where you are!
-
Live on TV, travel problems, it doesn't seem that odd to me.
-
Lucky escape? Just a thought! Now where can we spend that 7M to take us up?
-
Agree but one or two specials at 15 quid would not come amiss.

Similarly we have no idea what you're on about either and why you would strive so hard to uphold such a ridiculous premise. Not that its the first time or anything! -
Yes I read that too! Utter bilge. On that site you really can make it up.

"frothing at the mouth"---gross hyperbole. Rest of it-----spin .You're shameless. -
You have to feel for their supporters. We have both been through the mill but at least we seem to be on the up. They just drift, seemingly indefinitely.

Biz---that quote is simply UNTRUE. Its presented as a fact and its completely wrong. -
Even Dack can be held to a newly signed contract though. No reason to let him go till its too late in his contract to get maximum return for the Club. If we are still in with a chance of the play-offs in January, I'd be very surprised if he's allowed to leave beforel summer. This is always, of course, assuming he wants to leave and the evidence for that is surely non-existent?

Yes, I accept that and am not a supporter of 3 at the back. Haven't heard anything since Mulgrew went off in the international so wondered if he is in fact out of Saturday's game?
-
Is Mulgrew fit to play?
-
Actually I think his "squat frame" is a positive for him. He's strong enough to survive the hard tackles (either he bounces off them or they bounce off him!), he has that low centre of gravity which enables him to twist and turn in close situations and, players of his shape don't seem so prone to muscular injuries (thigh strains and the like) the same as taller ones.

I've asked, at least twice, has the Forum taken on board the opinions and ideas expressed on here. We do or did have Forum members on here? If they haven't what's the point of them? As for the surcharge Chaddy, Waggot has reiterated his support for something, he hasn't explained why our opinions on it are not valid.

Its very simple really, clubs can either take Sky's money for live broadcasts of their games and have smaller crowds OR reject Sky's apparent wish to televise just about every game live. They can't take Sky's money AND expect fans to turn up in large numbers. When football loses its fans it loses its point. Waggot please note.

I must admit to being distressed when Southgate got the job. I thought that if some of the most experienced managers in the world couldn't succeed how could Southgate have any hope? In retrospect Southgate has set England players free whereas the experienced managers repressed them.
