  1. Reading the LT article TM clearly blaming player wage demands for hold-ups/lack of success. Greedy players or inadequate budget?
  2. Yep! I was celebrating Saturday night in Trafalgar square with a few hundred others. Climbed as far up Nelson's Column as I could and then down again! Quite boring really!
  3. The activity on here has been frenetic, the activity by the club in the actual transfer market less so. Is it fair to conclude that the owners have let the manager down yet again and that his inability to sign players "early" and not to rely on last minute loans is probably down to an inadequate budget that leaves the manager no room to move? As it stands, the enormous impetus of a highly successful season is in danger of being thrown away. Its a familiar situation and fore-shadowed by many weeks ago. I can see us struggling to be dragged into a relegation battle which would be heart-breaking after such a lift last season.
  4. Everyone else needs to calm down.before they start panicking but Chaddy, the wise old owl that he is, puts it all in perspective.
  5. Sherwood never got picked till he went to Spurs! Would 4 at one time be the most we ever had in the England side of that time or was it maybe only 3? Ripley and Wilcox got capped but not much!
  6. We're blue and white not white and off-white. Dark blue gives you the contrast and emphasises the halves. A big NO from me.
  7. Possible that TM didn't feel he was physically up to a full 90 minutes?
  8. I prefer signings to loans for all the obvious reasons. This is a view I share with the manager of our club.
  9. All par for the course with these owners whom Biz wants to stay. They shut the purse, the manager shuts the door on his way out.
  10. Note that the headline refers to "signingS" and TM only speaks of signing ONE striker.
  11. Exactly so. No-one underestimates the job TM has to do except probably Venkys.
  12. But at the present we are weaker than last season and in a stronger league. Is the market "inflated" or are these the prices now?
  13. I know all that. Still a contrast between what has happened and what we were told. I'm guessing Venky intransigence and I hope I'm wrong. Can't see why it isn't reasonable to worry though, no-one is actually panicking from what I've read.
  14. TBF Coyle took us down. With the same squad TM would keep us up. But I agree with the sentiments you're expressing---its not ambition is it?
  15. So is it alright to panic when September comes round, bearing in mind TM stressed the benefits of getting his transfer business done "early"? Please let us know.
  16. That's much less than we hoped for isn't it? Hardly positive.
  17. For an hour we looked to have the game in the bag but we never got the vital second goal we should have. After that the defence lost its composure and Croatia deserved its win. Amazing achievement for a country of only 4M people. On to the Euros.
  18. Pleb staff---2nd class rail ticket Owners-----Rolls Royce each!
  19. That means he's on personal business not Rovers!
  20. Wrong! More imagination needed here Stuart! An exciting signing is someone with a long foreign name who we've never heard of. The excitement lasts until he plays!
  21. Copped a bit for saying the same stuff a while back. This is not where we wanted to be and its not where TM said we would be. He's also on the record as thinking its not great to rely on loanees. Now he says he's waiting for the loan market too open up. How to reconcile these contradictions? Venkys anyone?
