Apart from the Rangers game, where apparently we had one bad half and one good one, you cannot take anything out of those games other than the players getting a run-out and new ones getting to know their new chums. That's not the standard we'll come up against as well you know. There's a strategy somewhere there----possibly trying to create some momentum before the season proper. Time will tell if it worked.

There's a difference between genuine appoaches for players and hamming it up to sell season tickets. How many genuine and realistic approaches have we made for defenders this Transfer Window? It will come back to bite us, I'm sure of that.

Yet TM publicly accepted the problem and promised "defenders are coming". Whatever happens with the signings in mid-field and upfront, this transfer window, without significant improvements, is a failure. Another one in a list of them. It is unacceptable.
