Stewart Downing - The View From Teesside
47er replied to Teesside Steel's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Nice post but I really hope you won't get the chance to welcome Smallwood! There's every possibility you will though. -
Jesus wept! I'm responding to your post which said "God I would love it if we did very well this season. The word eating would be good". I was attempting to point out how childish that was but, as usual, its lost on you. I never said you said "we will do very well". Get your brain in gear! Please remind me never to respond to your posts, its like Biz on steroids.

He'll still end up on our bench! -
Al that shows is that, under Venkys, we've suffered a series of rubbish managers.
-
We had a pot to piss in last summer and he pissed it away on Brereton.
-
We would ALL love to do well this season but not because it gives gloating rights. What if we do badly and everyone queues up to remind you of this post? This is NOT what the MB is for.
-
Mentally, TM is still in Div 1. I do not believe we will ever be promoted further while he is manager. Hasn't got it.
-
As you say----different divisions! Many of those managers are worse than TM anyway!
-
I like managers with a high success rate but I haven't got one!
-
In all honesty, that's the truth. If he were going to be a player who could justify the fee one day, he would be at least showing SOMETHING. In three years some on here will be saying 'don't write him off he's only 23'.
-
Its not that aspect so much, he could turn out to be a real player for all I know. And no blame attaches to him. But it was a ridiculous buy when it took up so much of the transfer budget and there were other areas where we needed strengthening. We did need a striker its true but not this one now. We needed someone who could feature regularly in the first team as a striker. And he'd have been cheaper. Even if this move comes off in the end, I still feel it was a terrible decision and a huge gamble we shouldn't have made. its a bit like that bloke a few years ago borrowing enough to buy a house and putting it on RED at the casino to pay it off. Lunacy. (He won by the way!)
-
Since he only appears every 6 months banning him would be pointless! Agree though with your comment.
-
Not on 6 I couldn't!
-
I did that last summer! (And got picked on for it! )
-
Good player so why a sub? Does not compute! TM all over. (That's if you're right of course, I can't be arsed checking.) Edit----others have checked and you are wrong!!
-
If we are nowhere near the top 6 at Christmas you will never criticise the manager, you will simply find new excuses for him.
-
Can anyone tell me why we signed Chapman? I was pleased at the time but he never plays and we've just signed another left winger.
-
-
It would be a toss-up whether I'd prefer Johnson or Kean, that's what I think of our new PM.
-
Armstrong is NOT a winger.
-
Yes I know! I'm not the one slagging off the fans!
-
I lamented last summer's transfer window last summer because TM did not address the key areas. I do wonder if its going to be the same again. If he won't play Chapman what's the point of another left-winger? Meanwhile centre-back? Striker?
-
Why did TM buy him then? I don't get it.
-
Probably why we never win the first game of the season!
-
Boring the pants off me with this continual hand-wringing....Its not negative to give different opinions about the club. We want things to be better---some do anyway. Others will justify anything.
