  1. And so what? I didn't make up the 2 lists nor TM wanting to get his transfer business done early. For once, wouldn't it be good to get off to a flyer?
  2. When's was it that we were told the the club had compiled 2 lists of targets? April? One list was for if we were still in League 1 this coming season, the other for if we were promoted. TM said at the time the he wanted to get the transfer business over early! We all applauded----I assume! I know I did! Al this is now forgotten apparently and complacency has returned. We'll be alright on the night. Looks very much to me that Venkys have put their pen away. In which case we are in serious trouble.
  3. Most of us thought over the summer that we would need 5 or 6 signings. We're down anyway withe return of loanees to their home club So that is major surgery and it is necessary. Only explanation?----Venkys not backing the manager? Next few weeks will tell.
  4. He hasn't played in the championship yet but I don't see him as a risk. He'll obviously find it harder but his I believe his skills are translatable to this division. Plenty of clubs will give him the chance if we don't ,I'm certain of that.
  5. You seem to be forgetting that it was TM himself who said he wanted to get the transfer issues settled as early as possible. You can hardly blame fans who are uncomfortable that no new players have been signed yet. Plenty of time left yet obviously but this club has a history under Venkys of too little too late.
  6. He does have 3 years on his existing contract. He won't be going anywhere. If he does its Armageddon and time to throw season tickets on the pitch! More concerned that Lenihan isn't tied up yet.
  7. Wasn't he an ever-present in the promoted side but never in the picture after that? Though I think he might have played one or two League Cup games.
  8. Good spot. Good to see Chapman's name up there too.
  9. "Bloody glad you ain't manager" is "an Insult" worthy of complaining about Chaddy? Get real.
  10. The Queen won't understand a word he says! Keep it simple Kenny!
  11. Hasn't Dack got 3 years left on his contract? Can't see why on earth we should let him go whatever the offer. He can stay with us and increase his value----win/win. Either grasp the new enhanced contract or stay on the old one. With 3 years left the club holds all the aces. If, by some miracle we were to be promoted in a couple of seasons, he wouldn't need to leave at all.
  12. Chrystal palace in some strife too--failure to put financial returns in on time.
  13. Chelsea fans might be feeling the cold though!
  14. He only held one view at any one time. He just changed it now and then!
  15. TBF Chaddy said "knowledge" of this league not experience. How you could have experience of this league without gaining the knowledge is beyond me but Coyle managed it.
  16. Pity they didn't have anything like that to say when the FFP team came ahunting round Ewood a year or two back. Don't disagree with the basic thrust of the article though.
  17. Remember those Cup games? He didn't get enough chances imo.
  18. That's so true. Brad nearly always stayed on his line. Vital that Raya does the same as he was doing later in the season. However a big, ugly, gorilla is need at centre-back to challenge.
  19. You are forgetting the disparity in size.Blackburn and Darwen---about 100000? Liverpool 880000! Comparing proportions doesn't really come into this. They could even have a larger % of people on low incomes but still have hundreds of thousands more with higher. Besides, Liverpool has a vast fanbase outside Liverpool---including Blackburn! even having 2 clubs there doesn't change that. The crowds will gradually come back if we do well, I agree with that. Burnley manage on less than 20000.
  20. You should hold your hand up there and accept that you have made a wholly inappropriate response. to a real issue. Could you live on such a paltry amount and then buy a season ticket? I've quoted factual information to show that Blackburn is one of the very poorest communities in Britain. New cars and season tickets come under the heading of discretionary expenditure---many don't have any. Rovers are free to charge any amount they like but equally will have to take into consideration that a larger proportion of our potential fan base than almost all of our rivals simply CANNOT pay. Cheaper football brings bigger crowds-----we know that because we have proved it in the past.
