  1. Always got to remember the calibre of the opposition though. I've always supported Dolan---he makes things happen by his determination and energy. Its infectious. Pears obviously a better option than Wahlstedt but not so long ago we were calling for Pears to be dropped so W could take his place! That really signifies we've got 2 ordinary keepers at best. Gally scored one and made one and put himself about as he always does. We miss that but he was never worth 5M all those years ago. Doesn't score enough. JRC---top man, just hope he can keep fit. We've missed him big-time.
  2. Straightforward, comfortable win against poor opposition. Once we got past that initial 20 minutes they were never in it.
  3. I think I'll worry! 😨
  4. Yes---real fear that they'd sell us to another bunch of bastards as a form of revenge.
  5. He won't get a pitch like that every day though! But who cares? One of those days you never forget, there are so many under Stokes.
  6. Bit quiet for now, India getting the odd single. Have to be patient---but its hard!
  7. Just wonderful work in the field from Stokes to run out Jadeja. 119 for 6
  8. We can make an "on the face of it" judgment surely? We will wait, there is no choice but that doesn't look like improvement. Given our financial position it would be a miracle if we simply kept the status quo.
  9. Other clubs are interested though. They now know that bids start above £18.5M
  10. Everyone but the club!
  11. Because we want more? Because we insist on keeping him for the rest of the season? Both?
  12. Aussies in trouble against the West Indies---197-7, trailing Windies by 114. India 336 for 5, this isn't looking good. 😒
  13. We'v wondered from the start, or at least from when we were relegated, why Venkys bother with us and on't let go. That they send money over here, ostensibly to fund Rovers and it goes somewhere else is as good as explanation as we could get imo.
  14. Can't see why he'd be frustrated. If his contract expires he'll walk for nothing and be able to negotiate good terms. Someone will want him.
  15. Don't be daft, we won't see any of it.
  16. What's also unusual is that its the club that will be pushing him out rather than the player seeking a transfer! I hope he believes he's not ready yet and he'd prefer to stay another year but I'm not holding my breath.
  17. Especially when Palace sell him for treble that when they go down. He won't go there surely when bigger clubs are interested?
  18. Back to the admin fighting its own supporters again. Club eating itself.
  19. Be interesting to see the reaction from the sewards. They weren't too keen on protests last time round las time round!
  20. In any case, with Venkys gone, a proper infra-structure, sensible pricing ,and a competitive team, our attendances would rise significantly.
  21. No choice there. They're never getting that money back. Why should anyone recompense them for their mismanagement? It could be that we will be bankrupted and have to start again. AFC Blackburn Rovers or Blackburn Rovers 1875 are OK with me. But more likely Venkys will have to take what they can get, basically the value of the stadium and hopefully Brockhall.
  22. I'm not sure that we do! Momentum is a wonderful thing. We are just terrible at this point and have been for weeks. I'll be pleasantly surprised if we do win. No faith in us at all right now.
