Well I wasn't thinking of the last 10-20 years in my criticism. I'd kill to get back to that position where Mark Hughes seemed to be able to pluck champions off trees. I note Chaddy's done the same----even Shearer features in his list-- as if anybody wasn't going to get a tune out of him! No--I was thinking of more recently and I've given some good examples. Enough to justify my original conclusion I think. Most of our loan players have been disappointing too. I mentioned Branthwaite who was a revelation when he went to Everton after being rubbish for us. Only Elliot has really looked like a top player in the making. But galling when these look good somewhere else. What's wrong with our club? On reflection, scrub that. Our coaching staff can't be very good apart from the Academy.

I watched an hour of the Leeds-Norwich game. Awful. Looked like a poor Div 1 game of a game between the bottom two.

Always agree that what the Club has done is correct. that's your position. If we could have have got more in the summer then we should have waited. Just common sense. This is a once in a generation player we're talking about. Means nothing to the owners.

You're a classic "in-between" at this point. Good enough to get promoted, not good enough to stay up. But one year in the Premier, another year in the Championship and you'd go back stronger so long as you keep the better players. I wish our future was as bright.

He will definitely cost us some games and therefore some points. When you consider we only survived relegation by three points and we missed out on the Play-Offs on goal difference the season before, I think it is a potential disaster we should avoid.

Well they seem to have covered all the angles! Ultimately decided by a play-off if can't be separated by points , goal difference , goals scored,performance against each other or penalty points issued during the season is my summary! Don't think we will ever see one of these play-offs but at least we know! Thanks for that!

Yes, of corse you're right, I've got a headache looking at the table and trying to work out the various permutations. So, I'll get out of it by asking a more general question! If 2 sides finish up with the same points and the same goal differences is it the one which score the most goals that stays up? What happens if 2 sides finish with identical points and goals?
