  1. Some brilliant players who carried on well past 30 are being remembered and rightly so. The point is they were brilliant players with still a lot to offer. So its not necessarily the age of the player that counts but what they can do. Are we signing anyone remotely like Speedie or Cowans or Hughes? No we are not--- so the argument is redundant.
  2. Not long before all the mascots we can find at Ewood are in their sixties!
  3. Would prefer a League 2 team we could all push up together to what we have now. Accept we might have to start lower than that. Once we get crowds back and enthusiasm, someone will sit up and take notice. Might even be local.
  4. "I paid good money to watch that game and some fools ruined it. And in front of the TV cameras!"
  5. Entirely possible that we could be a "phoenix club" starting all over again in the lower leagues. Surely there are enough stalwarts to ensure we don't die completely? Bolton have survived without anything dramatic and are getting the crowd back now. The number of former League clubs that have entirely ceased to exist is very small.
  6. Don't forget we lost that lad from Crewe as well. at the same time. All agreed, even photographed in his Rovers shirt wasn't he? He'll probably turn out to be a good 'un. But we'll keep borrowing and bringing them on for everybody else.
  7. The Trust should have more members. It can't be a key pressure group unless its truly representative of the supporters. It hardly costs a fortune to join. If you're not a member you can't reasonably complain about it.
  8. We're more like Southend than we should be. We're nothing like a club seeking to return to the Premier League.
  9. A more important LT story "Blackburn need five signings for the perfect transfer window" You really have to laugh!
  10. The Final Countdown eh? Its been heading in the direction for over a decade but this season it seems to be very very close. Everything we feared when Venkys took over is finally coming to pass. We've no money, barely a squad and poor home support. Worst of all we have piss poor owners who can be guaranteed to make the wrong decisions and take the Club down.
  11. So how come he's better somewhere else? That's the question.
  12. For the first time this season I really feel the we are going down I'm dreading every game now. The confidence has gone, the team is bottling it.
  13. Ironic because we'll be there soon enough!
  14. You're right, it should have been Kaminski but that isn't JDT's fault.
  15. I'm taking it you're referring to Burnley!!
  16. Got their keeper and their captain off us for £2M! No wonder we are broke.
  17. I must admit I had never considered how difficult it must be for people who are visually impaired to do a simple thing like walking down a street. When you think back the clutter on our streets has grown exponentially. Even having a guide dog is no help if you're forced off the pavement and your dog is hit by a car. https://www.theguardian.com/world/2024/jan/11/britains-pavement-hell-how-messy-broken-streets-ruin-peoples-lives
  18. Its a bit stronger than the current squad! 😥
  19. Same goes for Ennis though!! Absolute joke.
