Same criteria will apply if JDT leaves. I doubt there will be a "seamless transition." Clueless Venkys still a millstone around our necks.

Context!!! I wrote "if we're going back to a former manager etc..." because that bit of the discussion was about Mowbray/ Bowyer etc admittedly tongue in cheek! I didn't say, "I think our next manager should be Mark Hughes"!! But he'd be massively superior to virtually all the dopes we've had.
-
If we're going back to a former manager, give me Mark Hughes please.
-
Ignoring everything else, what a Champion Pedersen was, on and off the pitch. I almost forgive him that header after reading that!

Understatement of the year!!

In the time we've been out of the Premiership, Luton have gone from non-League to being one game away from the Premier League. They've got a tiny stadium---only 9000 of their supporters in last night so not much money. Yet there they are. Completely puts the lie to Mowbray's 5 years and Venkys 12. We haven't even made the play-offs in all that time! We're being conned!.

Season tickets 2023-24 - what could/should be offered ?

I see Chelsea have frozen their cheapest season tickets----at £705! -
On the other hand, Wigan have been relegated----that's worth a few points surely?!!

That's rather loaded. HE'S HERE TO DO A JOB!
-
My hope is that taking us back to the big time will attract buyers.
-
Yet he's very hard to take the ball off. When he's on a run he's great at keeping possession and great at drawing the foul. I think he'll surprise you but we'll see.

I'm in total accord with everybody who believe he went missing for weeks on end this season but yesterday showed us his best. No coincidence that when we play well he plays well. The whole team and staff have to look at those games when we didn't turn up. JDT should spend summer looking at replays of every game! (I'll bet he doesn't!)

He was absolutely brilliant yesterday. Best player on the pitch by a mile. Scored 2, made 1, (should have been 2 but Dolan missed a sitter), and hit the woodwork twice. In between, his first touch was sublime, he passed and ran for the return all day, he was as good as i've ever seen him. And we get nothing for him. Oh and he won a lot of the headers!

He bleeds blue and white, that's uncalled for. Whether he is good enough or not isn't his decision. We shouldn't turn on our own. -

Its heat-breaking to miss out on the play-offs in that manner but at least we didn't bottle this game. Shows how much football is played in the head. Those 2 late, late capitulations against Preston and Coventry were always going to bite us in the end but this game shows what we can do. Replacing Diaz, getting someone like O'Brien in and one or two more players of quality and we can put all this behind us. Feeling pride more than disappointment and thinking the best is yet to come. -

Feel the same. Will be even more ecstatic if we get a huge load of luck for once though! -
My post was related to stories of people seeing several matches in one day. Financially you could do it then. Football was the people's game and crowds were massive even though the stadiums were primitive compared to today. Quite common in the early sixties for residents of east Lancashire to watch Rovers at home one Saturday and Burnley the next. People even had season tickets for both. People are priced out now is my point.

I ca remember when a Rovers season ticket for teenagers was £2/10 shillings!

Great manager for us. I knew we were doomed the minute he was sacked.
