I’ve seen that but from looking at the rules I don’t see why: He gets the higher of his appearance points for Bundesliga vs Bundesliga 2 so he can’t lose out there (by playing today). The other points I mentioned are for the league his club are currently in - surely he either gets the Bundesliga 2 points or he gets none at all.

I don’t think it matters either way. I think he’s on 13 points, 7 for his Bundesliga minutes last year and 6 for his club now being in Bundesliga 2. This would make him an exceptions panel case. I’ve no idea how often these result in a yes instead of a no.

I think we should play our full strength team (whatever that is!) it’s only the second game of the season we need to integrate the new players 5 subs means plenty can be rested once (if) the game is won
