  1. But they portray ambition, ask Broughton ask JDT ask numerous players, all been sold a pup. If this fella is what it says on the tin he won't be here long. Training raw cheap options like Rudy and bringing in already on the parent firm Indian cricket fans is how the Venky model really works.
  2. It was a useless pointless signing of a player that in no way fit the then head coaches style and had a fitness record you'd expect of a 40 yr old. It was well documented at the Plymouth end when they wanted to keep him Rovers had offered 3 times as much. I wait with baited breath the gems Broughton is going to foist on us this summer using his extensive knowledge of getting young players to polish. Judging by the efforts so far industrial strength stuff won't polish that lot.
  3. The dept that trebled Ennis Plymouth wage, spent 800k on Leo and signed Tel you mean ? I'll hold my thoughts on their capability for now.
  4. He sounds like the best qualified person for a position this lot have ever employed !
  5. If Mcfadz stays as a bit part player but they put him through his badges as part of the deal if that's what he wants then happy days. Needs to be a low wage though cannot be tying up what meagre budget we might have in a guy like that as hard as it is to say. He may well have better paid offers from lge 1 clubs so in that case we'll have to let him go. Finding another centre defender a bit younger with a bit of experience and attitude really shouldn't be that difficult for this so called DoF and backroom team. Should it ?
  6. Is there any other club in the land that might be waiting to see if two main local rivals get relegated and promoted before announcing their ST prices ? Farcical
  7. It was mentioned in the not too distant past by both Mowbray and Wagott and mentioned in regards to the merging of the Academy and training ground. Way before the 'sudden' budget cuts and raft of players leaving, being sold. Oh and also remember Waggot saying the 'owners would make up the shortfall' on any training ground sale/merger. To which i said How ? we'll end up with a half built building and a load of portacabins ! Well look where we are....
  8. I remember watching Jones a few times playing for the U21s and he was like a mon playing in a boys team. He stood put.
  9. JDT frightened the life out of the lot of them at all levels of the club after years of the plod with Mowbray. If we only we could find a board with the same drive as him but the top and bottom of it is these owners couldn't care less about promotion. The model is all about plodding along losing 10 mill+ a season off the books with the least fuss for them as possible that's why they employ drips.
  10. Doubt they'll get away with it because we played there first and the allocation is just over 2k. We gave them the same so regardless of the size of the DE there was no tit for tat we both had the same allocation. For all we know Rovers said give us the whole Cricket Shed and you'll get the full end at Ewood that the police will allow. They could easily have moved a few ST holders like we did in the past for the visit of Leeds and Preston. If we play them first and only get 1 thousand the same might apply at Ewood therefore it would be a bit dumb on their part.
  11. That means his wage demands will rule us out anyway once he becomes free so i think it's time everyone forgot about this one.
  12. A well qualified man who has been doing his job competently for years and years overseeing hundreds of transfers of every nature suddenly forgets how to do his job ?
  13. This is what always sticks in my mind some big names in the UK and Europe and beyond have been here. Players and managers who in a lot of cases have been at some of the World or Europe's biggest clubs and you never hear a bad word about the place or the fans. Yet we enter an era of nobodies and dollopers in every level of the club and you now struggle to hear a good word, it's all about levels though and the level of BRFC has been dragged to that akin to the back rooms of a greasy fried chicken joint in the last decade plus. If you want hero worship then earn it.
  14. Or did Mike Cheston tell Silvester no do not send that at the 11th hour because he knew we couldn't pay it or he hadn't had express permission from Mrs/Mr D ? So they've both got the push...
  15. Somebody at this club didn't want Mcguire here and that's why he isn't, it was a crazy amount for GB to commit anyway and that's why it didn't really go through lets be honest. Human error my arse. So i doubt they'll revisit it unless they can loan him which is all they really wanted in the first place and to be fair i wouldn't be against that. Committing millions plus add ons to sign him just because we feel guilty is dafter than it falling through in the first place.
  16. That's 3 out of 6 who are just Venky employees from India who haven't the first clue or qualification of running a football club. One of the remaining 3 is just a name from the past in a guest role. Is it any wonder we not only go nowhere but also continually run into the problems we do ? Truly ridiculous and must be unique at a club this size, an epty hollow vessel.
  17. The REAL problems remain, shadow MD, Waggot and Venkys. Last of the old guard finally removed, someone somewhere has been stitched up.
  18. Hes earned a pre season and a go at the early part of next season, i would say a bit of backing as well but that's pointless. I'm not expecting anything other than another water treading attempt and this guy is probably as good as it gets for that now.
  19. He knows this that's why he'll follow his well trodden squeeze what you have script and decimate the fanbase a bit more whilst retaining the same income. We've had a bad season, the club is a farce again and everyone is fed up so price rises to cover the expected drop off. We've seen it all before, the sooner this clown gets a foot up his backside the better but again ultimately the rot starts at the very top.
  20. Brown turned up- on a free i think - almost 20 years after 1995 so he's flattering himself somewhat to think anyone actually expected anything from him in the first place.
  21. They've always been on the ball with this since the days of Hoyle which helped get them a season in the Prem. Used to have gates similar to us but now despite being not very good they get tremendous support for another town club.
  22. He has a bee in his bonnet but to be honest i don't remember him getting much stick. Like a few former managers as well as players and execs it's an easy stick to beat Rovers fans with to cover for themselves. I've not met one fan in the last 20 years who still thinks or expects 1995 or anything remotely close. Just because we have a bunch of fans who expect hard work as a bare minimum from every player every game it doesn't sit well with some of these entitled wankers.
  23. Very little difference between them if we are being really honest. Also factor in we lost 2 academy products on modest wages at the time to be replaced by 2 guys who cost a combined c3 mill + ? Plus similar if not bigger wages. In the grand scheme of things you'd expect a better upgrade than what we've actually seen.
