  1. Nailed it. The main problem with the 3 forward signings it non of them fit the JDT way so why bring them in ? We only seem at our best when Szmods is fit and Dolan is in and we have the high energy press, Dack couldn't do it and was frozen out, BBD spent most of his time on first name terms with the touchline but did have his busy spells, Vale was useless starting but contributed with closing down up top from the bench. So now we are missing the key component of JDTs style and he'll just have to alter it to get the best out of what is available now.
  2. They'll all be hassling Nixon on his Patreon then quickly spinning his answers on here and twitter you mean.
  3. From reading various Hudds fans comments they couldn't believe how bad we were either and why we sat off trying to pass it around ourselves until their boss instructed them to press more. I'd like to say it was a bad day at the office but to me its been coming for a while we've been pounded on the road regularly and thrown home games. Confidence, belief is bound to sap away and that is worse than any fatigue. Next up Hull who are decent on their day and have a defeat the other day to bounce back from so we are going to come under the cosh early. Last 3 away's our travelling fans have seen 10 yes ten conceded and ONE yes 1 scored, that isn't acceptible by anyone's standards and even the bluest of blue and white spectacles can see the style of play is a major contributor. 3 previous away's also have seen c6000 Rovers fans in attendance combined, terrific support for a club going nowhere. They are owed a performance and some kind of positive result if nothing else.
  4. Friedel dropped down a level to come here he took a step back, Leo has stepped up about 2 levels to come here.
  5. Kaminsky was left out last season when he'd returned to full fitness and after a spell there was justiried questions as to Pears form and why he was still in. All about passing from the back over keeping it out the net apparently. In truth the writing was put up on the wall for TK right then and he was clearly being given the 'if you want to go you can go' hints. I'd assume that's when his agents got busy drumming up a bit of interest and once there was some concrete from Luton it was always only a matter of time. So i'd say it was a bit of a two way street and if he'd come back in and done well he would have stayed unless there were pending contract/wage issues on the horizon. There is no denying Rovers were willing rather than reluctant sellers which kind of says everything.
  6. Yes Leo is learning about the Championship and hopefully doing a lot of wrist exercises and punchbag routines but the howler on Sat wasn't down to the step up to the Championship. It was outright shite at any level and that's worrying along with one or two other things, people don't travel miles and spend a load of money to see professional players do that.
  7. Correct. It's the flismy model of plan B replacing someone as proven as him by just expecting his number 2 to be adequate. Then paying good money we don't have for another rookie who should've been number 2 to the former number 2 until he was ready but now he's number 1. And not through impressing in the U21s or in cameo appearances but because the other lad got injured.
  8. Well you've probably answered it all there so no point throwing him in as if deemed good enough he'd have had a go by now. But they deemed an 800k fee on Leo to be the better course of action to provide no 2 competition for Pears.
  9. Writing has been on the wall a long time there has always been a push from a few down there to turn us into the modern version of 90's Crewe Alex. Fancy football coaching players in a certain style that catches the eye of other clubs, regularly sell for not massive money just to pay bills. Then rely on youth, frees etc to replace and develop again whilst doing enough to remain a mid table team on low crowds and low wage bill. Take cups seriously and have the odd money spinning run and sell the odd big fee player to pay down debts and keep the show on the road. Not one jot of interest in promotion just aim to avoid relegation and everyone keeps their jobs whilst their little football factory plods on. Great for a club of that size in a tiny town with max 5k home fans who'll turn up come what may. Not so good for English footballs tenth most successful team trophy wise with a 31k stadium and 20k+ crowd average potential.
  10. Throwing Hilton in is just asking for trouble you could almost expect a rookie who is nowhere near ready to lose a bad goal or two. Might as well just hope Leo keeps his head and learns from his mistakes it's all part of his development, this is what we'll keep getting when operating the way we now do. Development squad remember and when they've developed and are any good they'll be gone one by one to pay the bills.
  11. The type of signing that surely would only arrive at a club under a flimsy DoF/Head Coach/Clueless penny pinching CEO model. We can't afford a striker, we aren't capable of sourcing or scouting a potentially decent one we can afford. So we looked around and brought you this but you'll have to get him fit first and find a way of using him. Only a third of Dacky's wage though so the owners are happy !
  12. I'm worried about the method of recruitment now to be honest in terms of younger players they just seem to be looking at stats sheets and wages/resale possibility. How much actual football scouting is being done beyond a graduates tablet in an office and a highlight reel ?
  13. Of course not but the point is plenty other people are seeing what some of us see, the gaffer being responsible for the style of football.
  14. They must have thought with this guy, cheap punt and we'll get him fit and use him to come on and try and kill games off, then maybe sell him for 1.5 million. Because looking at his stats and the state he arrived in it was surely blindingly evident he'd never be able to either play much nor fit the JDT pressing style for more than 10 mins at a time.
  15. Nailed on loss with the way we are going about it, anybody can score against us in this current style so unless we notch 3 or 4 at the other end..... Hull 3 Rovers 1
  16. Think it is as much about seeking the best replacement possible when a top player inevitably leaves which is something we often suffer with. They quite simply thought we'll get by with Pears and take a punt on this Leo kid with the bit of money we get. First thing on their minds is 'develop' and make money, again. Really should have been looking into the loan market for a short term fix that allowed Pears to continue his own development either in or out of the team depending on form. Basically they took us right back to having 2 rookies whose combined wages are probably only what TK was on himself. It was another downgrade but one with a big risk that has now bitten, predictably' firmly on the back side. No options but to carry on now either because we are stuck with it. Just got to hope Leo has plenty character to keep going because i'm sure there'll be more cock ups from him but if his head goes we are in even bigger mess.
  17. They are awful signings all things considered the kind only a desperate club would go for but at the same time the exact gambles a skint club should NOT sign on permanents. Also 800k on a rookie keeper is a massive gamble for us when you consider TK was just 500k, Pears was a few hundred grand which is about Leos level and the last one we had that resembled him was at least only a loan. Iv'e been a supporter of Broughtons work but as time goes on those are looking extremely poor business and only his retaining a few players on new deals and Tronsdat exempts him from severe questioning.
  18. I was told there was a lot of bawling at each other and arm waving today. Probably not before time but the whole lot should have been looking in Broughtons direction and rolling their eyes in regards to the keeper.
  19. No doubt the Leeds massive were busy on ticketmaster helping them fill a few home sections as well.
  20. Yes i still think he's a good guy trying his hardest but he is a bit misguided and needs to look at the methods. But when the CEO comes out and says what he did then naturally the Head Coach won't panic and will keep trying to do what he is doing. On recent evidence he runs the risk of losing the players and they in turn lose the fans then he is the one who'll feel the heat. He's never been in that situation and it shows.
  21. We needn't worry he'll never set foot in here again as anything other than an opposition manager.
  22. One thing he does do is stand there in front of the media and apologise to the fans and acknowledge it wasn't good enough. Never get the last fella doing that yet some clueless ballbags chant for him back.
  23. Pretty sure Waggot knew it was in the plans all along that's why they wanted a rather 'green' coach in JDT who probably didn't ask for stupid wages either.
  24. Getting 25k every home game wouldn't solve anything under this ownership, every club that is better run than us in this division doesn't get 25k pwk nor do they all have 15/20 mill a season put in to underwrite losses. And you know what ? We averaged 25k pwk when your heroes turned up. Your constant attempts at turning it back on the crowds are nauseating so give it a rest now isn't the time.
