Jon Dahl Tomasson - Sweden coach

10 wins v 10 losses but we are 8th again with the highest number of loses in the top 10 ! Kamikaze is the best way to describe it and that is his style -at least we have one now. There are things i feel he should improve on and his use of subs and often in game management are poor too often imo. However he wants the team and individuals to learn so i can understand in a way why he does or doesn't react at times. Sadly that is what they've now made the club into, just a development squad but at first team level. It's virtually impossible for him, more than ANY other before him under this ownership, too move it forwards or make impact subs working with what he has. So although frustrating it's harsh to expect much else at the min. Too many losses but if we had 6 and 6 wins with 9 draws or whatever we wouldn't have lost as many but we wouldn't be 8th. We'd be in Bowyer territory ( who had way bigger budget and squad ). That i found was mostly v boring despite a bit of welcome stability. -

Didn't see him live in the ground tonight due to monflu but the bits iv'e seen of Ennis he offers nothing more than Dack did. Doesn't look any fitter despite being younger, has glimpses of quality and will get the odd goal from cameos. Basically though it's just like swapping one bit part fragile player for a lesser one who is probably 10k a week cheaper. We haven't moved forward at all with this one. -

Somehow i feel Mowbray would be a great fit for Stoke. -

Venkys or no Venkys there is no way Blackburn Rovers is getting 21k for a midtable second tier tussle with Bristol City on a Tues in December ! Certainly should be 2 or 3 thousand more though. However Blackburn Rovers aren't going to sell more of some of the top 6 or 7 most expensive season tickets in this league after a decade of crackpot ownership and publicly declaring there is no ambition other than to stay up. ! -

Eustace is out of work which means no compensation, less of a package maybe needed to tempt him and less loses when/if they pot him. Less hassle, less risk and he's a young English coach if that is what floats the boat. -

Coupled with a budget they might has to promise him and the length of deal ? Not many second tier clubs pay compen and put those sort of packages together these days. Especially for a guy with just one English season under his belt and no promotions whose team currently sit mid table. -

Anyone taking JDT now will have to pay compensation i assume so would Stoke do that as well as guaranteeing him a Jan/Summer budget ? Doubtful imo. -

I feel we are in a mini slump at the min due to various factors. Surely at some point there has to be an actual game plan to get a clean sheet and result rather than fancy tip tapping from the back. We are just too damn easy to score against because we offer up too many opportunities. Rovers 0 Robins 1 11,878 -
We can't have a mindset running through the upper offices of the club that it's ok we can just step up another few from the U21s every so often. Already seeing the flaws in that this season where some aren't ready to be starters and others really need to be on loan learning the ropes. Also factor in we have Ennis and Tele on the bench every game serving no purpose whatsoever it's easy to see why we cannot turn games around. The flaws in our 'model' on and off the pitch are biting us this season every bit as much as a few key absentees, which happens to every club.

Probably quite the opposite due to his close ties with the wrong uns running Ewood and his Steve Kean arse kissing. -
Those youngsters mentioned are imo nowhere near good enough to step up, the academy production line was always going to hit the buffers.

That's the impression iv'e had for a while. -
It's crazy really because teams have to work hard to beat us but we are too easy to score against and piss weak at turning games or rescuing them. For all the good stuff JDT has done we are still a powder puff team and it must be a while since Ewood form was so bad which isn't a good look for him. Mind you at most normal clubs the DoF would take those stats to the CEO or chairman and say we really need help. The CEO or Chairman would then present it to the owners and say look we are going to struggle here if we don't do something. Not here, don't rock the boat and just collect your wages.

I mentioned that about Siggurdson after just a few games, he's definitely a luxury player and we can't afford those strolling around with this team. Personally i can't see his stay here being a very long one. -

Missed Trav today imo and the Brittain experiment has long run its course plus Leonard is a mile away from starting against most sides never mind the best. Losing to Leicester and Leeds in isolation is understandable and shouldn't really draw too much criticism especially seeing as we fared better against this lot today. However the home form is a shambles now and we are seeing the same issues every home game. It isn't naivety now it's lack of depth and a refusal to alter the side to cope with that and pure stubborness in persisting with the too open style. whilst there is no need to despair it's worth pointing out if it wasn#t for the away form where the style suits better we'd be in the doo doo now. Still it doesn't matter to anyone at the club above the boot room, it won't be long before JDT gives up and adopts the Mowbray shoulder shrug. -

Due to the stupid pricing i sacked off going to Leeds years ago having previously been plenty times. The last time i went without looking it up i think there was about 19k home fans on and a whole tier in the main stand closed. Why ? Well because they were a skint badly owned run of the mill Championship club so i think the willy waving is a bit hypocritical because they brought 73 thousand fans today. When they are truly shite or bang average a third of them disappear anyway just like most clubs. Like Sunderland they are just a fur coat an no knickers club in the modern era nothing else to bang on about but number of fans. From city's and catchment areas 3 times the size f the likes of Blackburn. And in actual truth per head of population their support has never been any better than anyone else's. -

Ennis gets tight hamstrings just watching from the bench. By the way what happened to that football fad of players sitting peddling stationary bikes on the sidelines ? -

Turn right at the roundabout after entering LBR from Chorley direction and go over the tops. Black Bull is up there and might be accommodating and still only a 10 min drive from ground. Wouldn't want to walk back up that hill mind. -
But we aren't very often wrong either and both those we watched for several years and both got worse here rather than better. If they were any good here there'd have been a nice fat fee for both.

Wouldn't you think they'd get tired of w#####g over away numbers by now but no same old shite on those forums. Just who is buying tickets in home sections for 18 quid ? Tiresome stuff but always the sweeter if we send them home with nothing. -
Good news hes improved year on year despite the odd ropey spell which they all tend to have now and again.

It's similar the when Salfords finest used to have a big day out here, big city team, one of English footballs biggest followings but rarely get the chance due to lesser allocations. Then every now and then it's 'we role out the red carpet for visiting fans' Ewood Park so gives huge groups of lads a chance to get together and think they are rolling the clock back to the 1980's.
