  1. 1/1.5k more at least the previous figures back it up. Still, he's got the website glitch to blame it on although i'm getting Shagnew style vibes again now with this fella. Too many stupid and very dubios things are beginning to happen again. Anything to cover his arse.
  2. So the JW not half full i presume that'll be closed for the next one next season ? That's the thought process isn't it ? Managed to shave off a thousand fans tonight, some going that Steve.
  3. From prawns to spam but they still get lettuce on the side.
  4. To finish 8th then 7th after 2 gaffers create a vibrant young squad that just needs a bit of help to really push it forwards then say the only objective is too stay in this league is downright pathetic. Nothing sums the guy up more than that. Although he does get a plus mark for being honest and confirming what a lot of us already knew but the message it sends out is wrong on every level.
  5. Well it's already sold so technically they could do whatever they want with it i suppose. It's more the over valuation of it and set up of the sale that worries seeing as other clubs have fallen foul of things like that. How can we trust these lot to do it right after what has come about with the house purchase.
  6. A club desperate for cash and closing more stands to save loose change would be going out of its way to shift tickets and resolving any obstacle to that asap. That place is run by idiots who'd be fired from league 2 jobs dealing with a club a third the size.
  7. To be honest i'm more concerned about the training ground sale i fear that might come back to haunt it just doesn't look right.
  8. The VLL accounts showed the overdraft at 14.5 million so if that was the case that is a massive issue without Vs putting in to pay it down like normal. No wonder sponsorship money was needed upfront and 5 million in sales was ordered.
  9. It's not why they got into it nor the intention but it might well be the end game because it could be unavoidable the more the club goes backwards.
  10. Aside from the stand nonsense i'm actually looking forward to the game and hope a few stake a claim for some first team action, namely Leo and Trondo. Horrible feeling this has draw written all over it and it goes to pens in front of an empty home end. Rovers 1 Cardiff 1 4,598
  11. The closure of the BBE has been kept fairly quiet except for on here so a lot will pitch up on the night expecting to go in there but just have to go in the JW instead. All very convenient.
  12. Close the Riverside to save money and close both for cup games, eventually relocate to a ikea kit style stadium on outskirts of town. Academy and training ground all in one small site somewhere with everything else flogged to the ISSA brothers. The future ? I really wouldn't be surprised.
  13. Iv'e seen estimates down the years of anywhere between 10 million and 100 million VH group annual profits. The club sits somewhere in these accounts so it has to be assumed that the profit is after what the club costs them is taken out. So yes chicken feed to them and in no way the big deal a lot try to make it, if they couldn't afford it they wouldn't be here it's that simple. Washed chicken feed some might say.
  14. They could have restricted visiting fans in order to accommodate them elsewhere and closed the whole DE end instead of aggravating 1500+ home supporters. Utter useless clueless lazy pratts.
  15. The Blackburn End should be open as usual and the handful of Cardiff fans should be in either a far section of the JW lower or upper. That could easily be done without having to draft in a hundred extra police officers it's just bone idolness by the club taking yet again what they see as the easiest option. I remember 500 Sheff Weds fans amongst others being put in the far end of the old Nuttal street stand packed with home fans. That was early 90's when the DE was being rebuilt and footy aggro was still a major issue but they managed just fine.
  16. He'd be welcome in the middle of a packed Blackburn End lower i'm sure !
  17. Far bigger savings would be made shutting the JW ! The less than half full theory for the BBE doesn't stack up either seeing as for the last cup game there would be about 4.5k in the 11 thousand capacity Jack Walker stand.
  18. On a matchday with 12,500 thousand home fans on there are probably 1500 in the entire Riverside so hardly the same impact. It's been shut for years for these games even at times before this lot rocked up, other clubs do similar. Never has the BBE been closed. As usual though the docile Ewood support just shrugs its shoulders and says well either go or don't. The exact attitude of the club so it's not hard to see why we end up where we do on these matters.
  19. Just read through the thread to get the general jist of it. It isn't about foot stamping it's questioning a relatively pointless exercise and believe it or not some fans actually like going behind the goal. Hence why even for these games with low crowds anyway at least 1500/2000 would go in the BBE. Why bother angering or potentially putting off a lot of them to save at best a couple of grand ? Also more importantly it helps the team and there is the other end of the ground opened up for 200 away fans. It shouldn't really need explaining.
  20. I think we can take it for granted now they'll be desperate to sell a player in January.
  21. I'm sure this is going down well with JDT and GB who already appear to think he's a tosser. Looks better on tv though....with a block of five thousand totally empty seats to the right, great for the players also 🫢
  22. Like i said previously he'll just spin it to suit his dour miserable downgrading narrative like he did with STs, cheap ticket offers etc. Worst thing is it gets swallowed by general fanbase most of who won't turn up to these anyway unless it's Man U or Liverpool.
  23. Primarily the style is driven by the need to make players look better and improve them so they might become attractive to other clubs with bigger budgets. That is the top and bottom of it here and that is why they wanted a head coach model instead of a manager. Trouble is it can also make usually reasonably steady average championship players look worse than they are and style over substance is detrimental to point accummilation with a wafer thin squad. We are the opposite of last season pre Christmas when the emphasis was win points however you can. We ended up in the top 2 with a shallow squad.
  24. Yeah he's putting down his marker for future scenarios.
