  1. January.... in Rotterdam.
  2. What did they expect for nowt 🙂
  3. The whole reason they are after him is because we need the experience and the defensive depth he'll bring right now this season. Shouldn't really need explaining should it, otherwise they'd be looking elsewhere but there are obvious reasons why they want him now and might pay a small amount to get him in. Anything can happen in 6 months time it's a long time in football and he's no use to us frozen out at Sunderland. Or loaned elsewhere then they decide to offer him more brass.
  4. that really kind of defeats the object.
  5. The one v one saves are another dying art with modern keepers. Probably because the game as a whole is so tactical now that they aren't called into those situations as often as they used to be with teams playing higher lines and opposition aiming for out and out centre forwards.
  6. It's putting an extra price on loyalty though isn't it. Of course plenty will be disappointed but nobody can do anything about demand out stripping allocation. They can however give a little bit back for once and reward the most loyal travellers, like the 300/400 who' go to 75% of away games and would be at Cardiff or Swansea on a weekday evening even if it's on the box. I'd happily give my ticket up for someone like that if i had one. What the club are doing again is using it to justify squeezing extra brass out of people and that isn't rewarding loyalty its putting an extra charge on it. Clubs with huge followings can pull strokes like that but here it's not a good look.
  7. You often don't. How can loyalty and dedication not count ? bloody hell mon stop sipping out of Waggots teet. Personally i'd be looking at those who attend all away games last season and give them first dibs. Otherwise it has to be a lottery and pure luck wins the day.
  8. He will do if he's chucked in before he's ready.
  9. That's why i'm annoyed about it because younger fans just think it's the done thing when it shouldn't be. There are times to be justifiably disgusted at your team but yesterday wasn't one so lets just hope it's chalked off as one of those days that happen occasionally.
  10. When there was 23k on. Some need to grow a spine they react like it's been done on purpose as an insult to them. And for balance iv'e both defended why it probably happened but why it shouldn't really beyond those who shuffle off anyway even if it's 0-0 and we are attacking !
  11. Yep Ewood is pretty bad for that sort of thing although it isn't unusual in football. Yesterday however the side deserved a clap off from everybody, yes it's bitterly disappointing and annoying but they don't lose on purpose this shit happens. Slapped arse reaction by fans doesn't help anybody and to me it suggests a dollop of our match going fans STILL don't get what we are up against right now.
  12. We've blown a lot of late goals from point earning positions under JDTs relative short stint so i think the 'here we go again' is ingrained in fans minds. There is still a lot of naivety on the pitch and in the technical area which cant always be attributed to age or inexperience. That fuels the bitter disappointment hence the exodus.
  13. Ironically there were a few of us highlighting that Pears positioning his his weak point in an otherwise reasonably steady keeper. I first noticed this when he turned out for the U23s a few seasons ago, had a really good game but let two in where if positioned correctly he might have done better. It was also evident towards the end of last season. Otherwise today he had a good game and the main fault of the goals was the defence or lack of it in front of him.
  14. They are just the kind of games we lose neither are easy on their home patch, we never get much at Watford and Plymouth will surprise a few this season. Crowd behind them playing at their highest level for a long time they'll be looking at us as a winnable one for sure. I'd be more confident if we were at home next week.
  15. Not going to say we are unlucky as before the sending off we were asking for the umpteenth time to gift them a goal but instead gifted them an extra man. That shit really has to stop if we want to prosper it isn't making or developing better footballers for one second. Sending off well every defender has one or two like that in their career so hopefully he learns from it. After that great effort considering and hooking Dolan was certainly correct, bit of fortune for the goal but bravo Gally the lad can finish, just not often enough. Poor decisions and defending cost us at the end though but fatigue probably a contributing factor, we deserved a point, Hull didn't deserve 3. I'd like to think a few bells went off in the suits heads watching that that we are in for a tough old grind if we don't get more depth. Doubt it though the CEO will just shrug his shoulders and not dare ask and the owners bean counters won't even know theres been a game. Real sticky patch coming up i think.
  16. That's probably because it was a bigger hazard unfolding underneath in that dump. At least everybody had drunk up by the time we scored 🙂
  17. The opposition score 5 mins into the second half and celebrate in front of the BBE you are not telling me they don't get some pelting. People still chuck stuff now several times a season there is an issue of some projectile or other and if an empty plastic water bottle can make it to the 6 yard box so can plastic glasses containing some ale. I'd love for it to be possible but for obvious reasons it's unlikely.
  18. How long would it take for half a pint in a plastic glass to be launched onto the pitch ? Not long sadly so that's why it'll never happen.
  19. Must admit first thing i thought when watching that training vid is wtf are they doing jogging up steps fully studded up and mooching across tarmac to the training pitch. Would be sooo easy to turn an ankle. The lack of brains involved at high level pro football is beyond comprehension sometimes.
  20. We have 4 points out of 6 so i'm not sure there is much of a case to drop Pears.
  21. Taking nothing away from Crawford he's the man but that fight definitely came a bit late for Spence. Clear issues with the weight he looked drained 2 weeks out and the crash took something away from him. He was a real class operator previously although Crawfords power was always going to be an issue for even peak Spence. Looking forwards to seeing if Dubois can pull it off next weekend.
  22. Millwall, Luton and Coventry say our expectations aren't that crazy then ?
  23. Some of them just don't listen to anything i think that is evident.
  24. Positioning is definitely one of Pears weak points and whilst he mostly does ok his reflexes aren't on a par with what TKs were.
