Get down to watch the U21s if you want to see Markanday play. Because with the way he is performing (for the whole game), he won't be making the first team any time soon. -

After the way Hirst played against West Ham, he might struggle to make the U21s bench. End his loan period, and say thanks, but no thanks, to a permanant move. -

Mola is very strong in the tackle, and good at winning the ball back, although he does tend to get drawn forward to make tackles that maybe he shouldn't. He is more prone to be left-sided, but can run with the ball. He sees and can make good short passes. I think in a defensive midfield position, he could make the step up to first team. He is reasonably strong in the air, and I would think he would win most midfield aerial battles. For the U21s Mola has been used to cover at center-half, which in my opinion isn't his best position, but he has got on with the job he has been asked to do. -

At the moment Markanday is not much better than Hirst, but he has a goal in him. So something to work with. -

I watched Hirst for the U21s on Saturday. He was awful. A quote that summed him up was, that he looked like an out of his depth trialist. Has Hirst had a serious injury in a past tackle, because he shys out of every challenge ? -

From Buckleys performance on Saturday I would say he has no chance. Some of his passing was superb, but he also looked tired and dis-interested. -

I watch most U21s games, for me Mola is a better choice for the defensive midfielder than Edun. Between Garrett and Mola I would say, it would be down to who the manager fancies. They both bring slightly different qualities. -

In my opinion, I would say Mola more-so than Edun. -

But it happened, moaning about it won't change that fact. Let's hope that the club has learnt from it. -
If Hirst was a free transfer, we would still be being robbed.

U21s lucky to get a draw against a good West Ham side. We were poor today. We went 2-0 up against the run of play, then seemed to stop competing. Hirst was the worst of the lot, although non of the supposed first teamers showed much. Markanday was again poor but scored, he is not a winger. Mola is not a center-half. JRC and Buckley looked tired. West Hams number 4 (Ekwah) had the freedom of the pitch. Leonard put in a decent shift.

Workmate, I would think ?

To me, he struggled at U21s level on Wednesday, albeit against a physically strong defender. To make the first team, Markanday will have to figure out a way to beat defenders that doesn't include him trying to out-muscle the defender. He might be better playing through the middle on the shoulder of the last defender. Maybe he could form a partnership with either Diaz or Gally through the middle. -

Dustbins down a back alley could be quite dangerous. -
I wished he had scored against Wigan
-
I would put Vale and Leonard ahead of Markanday.

I must admit I don't agree with Chaddy on quite a few points. But I prefer JDT's outlook on football to Mowbrays. As much as I think both Hirst and Smodzics are not up to what should be our standard. They are as good as we are going to get. -
This is how I feel : I've had enough. I've had enough, I love Blackburn Rovers., But I've had enough.
