If there was £4 to play with. It could be much better spent -
Transfer Window - COMPLETE. Where’s Gregg?

For the u21s Mola has been mostly played at center-half, he looks uncomfortable there. When he moves to the left hand side and moves forward he is very good. He is strong in the challenge both on the ground and in the air. He is quite fast and picks out a good pass. Markanday has been used as a right winger/wide forward. He does not have a particular skill for going outside a defender and always seems to lose the ball. He hasn't got the strength to beat a defender by coming inside. What he has got is a good shot if he gets the ball in or around the penalty box. He might be useful in a forward central pairing. Both may or may not make it at Championship level. -

Personally I think Mola is good enough now for the left full/wing back position. Batty in a couple of seasons, but could adequately fill in now if needs be. I agree about needing a reasonable striker. Markanday may fill that role if he is played through the center, but he is never a winger. -

Let's hope we beat that record in April. -
What they all need to be doing, is standing out when they play for the U21s, as Adam Wharton did. At the moment none of them are doing that.
-
For me, the player you mentioned have shown what they are. Squad players at the most (Hirst hasn't even shown that, to be honest).
-
Adam Wharton always"looks" knackered, I think it is just how he appears. He has a good engine and can play at full intensity for at least 60 mins. Get the game won, then worry about who is tired. I would go with Chaddys formation, but I would swap Szmodics for Adam Wharton. I think Dack is worth his place on the bench, but not in the starting eleven.

And to think, If we had had all those youngsters on contracts the academy would have paid for its self.

What I take from all that is : Don't get over-run in midfield, and we win. -
Nobody takes being dropped, well. It's how you react to being dropped, that matters.
