  1. If there was £4 to play with. It could be much better spent
  2. For the u21s Mola has been mostly played at center-half, he looks uncomfortable there. When he moves to the left hand side and moves forward he is very good. He is strong in the challenge both on the ground and in the air. He is quite fast and picks out a good pass. Markanday has been used as a right winger/wide forward. He does not have a particular skill for going outside a defender and always seems to lose the ball. He hasn't got the strength to beat a defender by coming inside. What he has got is a good shot if he gets the ball in or around the penalty box. He might be useful in a forward central pairing. Both may or may not make it at Championship level.
  3. Personally I think Mola is good enough now for the left full/wing back position. Batty in a couple of seasons, but could adequately fill in now if needs be. I agree about needing a reasonable striker. Markanday may fill that role if he is played through the center, but he is never a winger.
  4. Already done it. And it was a more effective plait, than Hirst is a football player.
  5. Anybody but Hirst. Vale, Leonard, Markanday, Burns
  6. From what I have seen Markanday is never a winger. He may have a role playing through the center.
  7. Well whoever rated Hirst, wants booting out as well.
  8. Even if we can't send him back in January, we don't have to pick him. And I made a right mess with the sawdust.
  9. Watch Hirst see if he actually goes into any challenges.
  10. I have started, it's a bit messy, and I am going to have to drink a few beers, to lubricate my throat with all this dust. Also to get me over the shock.
  11. Hirst is a loanee, we have not got the time to nurture him.
  12. From what I have seen of Hirst playing for the U21s. It is going to need a lot more than a goal , to kick-start his career
  13. If Hirst is in the squad. I will plait sawdust.
  14. Let's hope we beat that record in April.
  15. What they all need to be doing, is standing out when they play for the U21s, as Adam Wharton did. At the moment none of them are doing that.
  16. For me, the player you mentioned have shown what they are. Squad players at the most (Hirst hasn't even shown that, to be honest).
  17. I bet it wasn't when you made your original post.
  18. Adam Wharton always"looks" knackered, I think it is just how he appears. He has a good engine and can play at full intensity for at least 60 mins. Get the game won, then worry about who is tired. I would go with Chaddys formation, but I would swap Szmodics for Adam Wharton. I think Dack is worth his place on the bench, but not in the starting eleven.
  19. The only update I can find, is that a bid for Wasps RFC has been accepted.
  20. I am not sure, but I would think it doesn't matter if you have a long term agreement, if the people you have that agreement with go to the wall.
  21. And to think, If we had had all those youngsters on contracts the academy would have paid for its self.
  22. What I take from all that is : Don't get over-run in midfield, and we win.
  23. Nobody takes being dropped, well. It's how you react to being dropped, that matters.
