  1. The U21s usually play at Leyland.
  2. But if both teams are playing on a Saturday, why have both teams at home. Surely it is better for supporters to have one team at home whilst the other is away. I know not many get down to watch the U21s, but there will be even fewer, if the Firsts are at home on the same day.
  3. A problem being that in my opinion Batty is more suited to the Left Wing-Back role than the Left Full-back role. What I mean is that Batty is more of an attacking player than a defensive one. If he could improve on the defensive side of his game, he would be a shoe-in.
  4. You would have thought that it wouldn't have been too difficult to organise, that the U21s play at home when the first team are away, and not when the first team are at home
  5. Most people who are critisizing Pickering, are questioning his lack of pace. Would they be happy starting Jake Batty ? He has pace a plenty and is quite aggressive. I personnally don't think Batty is ready yet. In a couple of years time, maybe.
  6. Back to basics for Sheff U, nervy 0-1 Rovers win, still top of the league.
  7. Win on Saturday and tonight will be forgotten, it won't be forgiven.
  8. It doesn't matter what is said to the owners. It is how the owners respond that is crucial.
  9. I don't want to go out on a limb, but Hedges has been worth his place. Long may it continue.
  10. If Phillips goes to Spurs, he will be lining up next to the lad he had by the throat, when the U23's played them last season.
  11. I wonder if they will offer Rothwell as part of the deal, ha ha.
  12. I would be happy with a total of 3 points from the Reading and Sheff U games. Any more would be a welcome bonus, any less would be a disappointment.
  13. We are playing Phillips because we have no better option.
  14. Have you thought that JDT did not see Khadra fitting into the system that JDT wants us to play. So did not go for him. I am not saying that is true, but it is something to think about.
  15. I thought the game was on Tuesday. Back to the printers.
  16. Reading is the next game. Play our strongest team, get the three points. Then move onto Saturday.
  17. I would walk 500 miles, And I would walk 500 more, To meet a man who'd scored a goal against the Dingles at Turf Mooooor. Simon Garner, Simon Garner, Nah, nah ETC.
  18. 500 miles by the Proclaimers. The FA cup semi-final against Chelsea at Old Trafford. It went down a treat.
  19. As long as we run off with 3 points, I don't care.
