  1. The thing is I am not at odds with my club, it is the manager, who seems to have no affinity to my club and certainly has no attachment to Blackburn, that I have a problem with. My way of showing my displeasure is to not buy a season ticket whilst that manager is still here. I will still listen every home game, I will still go to every away game(if allowed). I will still feel great sadness or joy after each game. Most of all I will still say with pride that I am a Rovers fan.
  2. So it wasn't in your blood when Coyle was manager ?
  3. I do, I just accept that sometimes it won't be. What I won't pay for is, shit football, that is condoned by the management.
  4. I think Mowbray will...................zzzzzzzzzz
  5. Just don't whinge when the product is shit.
  6. Was Roy good for Blackburn Rovers then, No. Would he be good for Blackburn Rovers now, No.
  7. If as you say you would have given them game time, who would you have dropped for Pike and McBride. The only two I can see are Nyambe and Armstrong. Personally I would not have dropped either.
  8. The problem with your suggestion is that we are not short in those particular positions. Pike and McBride are not as good as the players that are already there.
  9. I seem to remember Chapman himself, in a TV interview at Shrewsbury, saying that the Rovers had an extension clause in his contract and that his immediate future was up to the Rovers.
  10. I think our better seasons have been down to who is manager rather than who is the main striker. Shearer excepted.
  11. From what I have seen Pike could make the bench, that's about it.
  12. In my time supporting the Rovers. Ever since the selling of Tony Field, people have been asking how are we going to survive without such and such a striker. We have always found someone else. Just as a side point, some of those strikers we have lost, were a darned sight better than Armstrong.
  13. I don't think anyone would disagree about the players. But with a motivated manager those same players could be the difference between midtable and promotion.
  14. When you say passion, do you mean bigoted mindless violence ?
  15. What is needed to be done, is to get replacements in before we sell. Not get rid of someone, then try to fill the hole. You invariably end up with a panic buy, worse player.
  16. For me the thing that has gone wrong this season is not the personnel in the squad, but the formation we played. I still think 4-4-2 is better for the squad we have. I would start games 4-4-2, then if we need to shut-out a game, use subs to go to a 4-3-3
  17. I think JRC on the wing and Nyambe at full back would give us a strong right hand flank. The left hand flank is where we will just have to wait and see. I hope that Pickering and whoever plays left-wing, gels. I would have thought that Pike would fill that defensive cover role. Bennetts problem is that he doesn't contribute much to the first team. If he is only being paid as a squad player, fair enough. If he gets a contract on par with the regular players then I think that is a mistake.
  18. Again it's opinions, but I would play JRC right wing and Brereton off the bench in a central position. We may not have the finances to bring in a decent left footed winger. So I would concentrate on improving Chapmans ability with his left foot. Chapman is a pro footballer so I would expect him to have the skills to improve with practice, his left foot abilities.
  19. I agree, apart from Chapman, I think he can fill a left wing role, which at present we are short of.
  20. Why would we want to tie down as you call him "A distinctly average player, with a dreadful injury record".
  21. For me the use of Bennet and Chapman has been badly handled by Mowbray. In our present situation personally, I would sign both, Bennet purely for the bench, but Chapman as a starting winger. PS, I would play 4-4-2.
  22. They can both offer something, if used in certain circumstances from the bench. As long as they are getting paid in relation to their contributions to the team.
  23. But still relegated in 66. It just goes to show that even great players need organising.
  24. My thoughts would be. If we stopped messing about at the back, we would not concede as many soft goals and therefore would not need to score as many.
