Ruthlessness is all well and good, if you have the resources, but at the minute without using the players we already have, I don't think we have those resources. You will also win a lot more at football with a team that are loyal to each other than a team that isn't.

Because we may not have the budget to take a risk on a replacement for a player we already have. What you do is play who we already have. Save any budget for replacements for players who are leaving. You say we need better players. Who are these players, and how are we going to afford them?

The problem is, as you say we have tried to utilize the loan market, that has failed miserably, our league position is a testament to that. We may have a restricted budget, so we shall have to try with what we already have. If that doesn't work, we will have to try something else. It has always been so.

True, but in your post you did not mention Mowbray as being a problem. All you mentioned was trying to get in loans. Personally I would prefer to work with our own players than loans. I think the most important thing that could happen for the good of our club, is for Mowbray to go.

The biggest problem we have is getting a cohesive way of playing with the players we have got. Not speculation about fantasy players. At the moment we are more akin to the Blackburn Rovers of the 1970s/80s than of the 1990s.

Haven't the Rovers got the option of one year extensions ? You cannot say when players will be back from injury. I am using players that are signed for us. I do not know when or if there circumstances will change. Players will play where they are best for the team. It is a good managers job to convince the players of that fact. Sadly were Mowbray has failed.

At centerback next season we will have, Lenihan, Ayala, Magloire, Carter, Wharton, for two positions. I would play 4-4-2. So for the central midfield two we will have, Travis, Davenport, Rothwell, Buckley. Right back we have Nyambe and Pike. Up front, we have, Brereton, Gallagher, McBride, Chapman for two spots. I would also have Leftback, Pickering and a new signing. Leftwing, Dolan and a new signing . Rightwing JRC and a new signing.

It depends on your view of need. Personally I would say we need to sign 1 x left back, 1 x left wing, 1 x right wing. There are other positions that it would be nice to improve.
