Perhaps Mowbray will really do something out of charracter and play Pike, a right-back if required.

To me it is quite simple. We cannot afford to buy or loan anyone of the required standard, so we have to use what we already have. It may or may not be successful, but it is our only option. Nothing in football is guaranteed ask the French.

The centre-back situation maybe risky, but it might be a risk we have to take. I would say let's go with what we have got. If it goes wrong ,lets cross that bridge when we come to it.

I think if the council decide that there is to be no away fans, all that will happen is that the Rovers will not get any tickets to sell. It won't stop anyone buying a ticket from AFC Fylde. The West strand will be the one nearest Mowbray, to give him pelters.

I would like us to sign another quality left-back, then they could challenge each other to prove who has the shirt and who is the squad player.

Perhaps even the club realise that with Mowbray still in charge, season ticket sales will plummet. So they may think it is a waste of time and money canvassing people to renew.

So are you saying, if we had a different manager these players you say are not up to standard , would suddenly be of the required standard. If so, the players are of the required standard, it's a shame the manager isn't.

Mowbray is the only person who can answer that question. I would not even attempt to fathom his logic.

Kaminski, Nyambe, Lenihan, Ayala, Wharton, Travis, Davenport, Johnson, Rothwell, Dack, Armstrong, Gallagher

During squad training they are with other championship players. It should be obvious to the trained eye if any of the younger players have the potential to develope. To my untrained but life experienced eyes, I would rate Pike and McBride of at least having that potential.

Up to now, it's pronounced, Waste of Money .

Of the four you name who have been let go, none would challenge for the first team. I would say Carter, Magloire, Pickering, Pike and McBride will challenge for the first team. Has Chapman left yet ? I am not talking about throwing the younger players straight into the first team, from the U23s. They would be intergrated into the first team squad.

Most of those squad members who have left will not be missed. Most could be replaced with our returning loanees or U23s. I would be happy if we signed another left full-back and a left-winger. Your comparison of Lowe and Elliot prove my point. At age 17 you would not be able to tell who was going to be a success and who wasn't.

Hence why signings are always a gamble. the timing of making signings, does not alter that fact.

Personally I can't see an issue with not signing anybody yet.

But is the embargo (if it exists) preventing us making signing. Or is it that the budget is preventing us making signings. I doubt if you or I are privy to the answers.
