In the 7o's/80's I felt, I was part of Blackburn Rovers. Now I feel taken for granted and I will not put up with that.

Was signing Evans a parting gift?

I think him already being booked might have influenced him. -

Not when you are 4 players to 2, someone commits to a challenge, and either wins the ball or commits a clumsy foul. End of immediate danger. Travis probably didn't want to be that someone because he had already been booked. A well organised team would have already delegated who should make the challenge, if the occasion arose. -
Tony Mowbray - Stick or Twist ?

The thing is we could quite easily win our next five games, It would still be time for Mowbray to leave. -
Tony Mowbray - Stick or Twist ?
rigger replied to Tyrone Shoelaces's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
This has absolutely nothing to do with the context of my post. On a second point, I do think that it does matter whether a manager is stood or sat down. A large part of their jobs is to influence what is happening on the pitch as it is happening. I have never seen a manager who does this by sitting down. This is not a "Dig at Mowbray". It is a fully justified criticism. -

He can't be arsed to stand-up, never mind walk. -

You obviously haven't grasped what I wrote. Mowbrays plan is working, for Mowbray. It is not working for the supporters, because we have a different target than the one Mowbray has. Our target is for success for the Rovers, Mowbrays would seem to be, mid table mediocrity. -

The problem is that what Mowbray is doing, is working. It's just that Mowbrays target is far below ours. We need someone with more ambition. -

why are we never going to win the FA cup ? It is probably easier to do than getting promotion. What are your priorities in the league. I cannot see us getting either promoted or relegated. As for Mowbrays job, at the moment I am not sure what that is. -

That is one of the reasons that Mowbray is so secure in his job. People thinking it doesn't matter to loose cup games. No games are pointless, in my limited experience you strive to win every competition. Why do you consider an FA cup game pointless ? -
Some people say Mowbray hasn't lost the dressing room. That may be so, but he has lost the rest of the ground.

I will be desperate to go to the first game we are allowed back to Ewood. If Mowbray is still in charge I will give it a miss

The Donny player picked the ball up in his own half, ran forward unchallenged for about 40 yards, whilst 5 Rovers players backed off. A total lack of organisation and leadership. -

Correct, but there is nothing to say as a player manager he can't be. -

Although nothing can be guaranteed. The nearest thing to a certainty we have is that we are going nowhere with Mowbray -
And it would be watched by sub 5000 crowds.

Kendall an inexperienced player/manager came into a reasonable but underperforming squad. He set up the defence to be hard to score against. He had similar playing history and seemed to thrive on the respect of the other players. He showed a passion for the game and the club he worked for. He also realised that at his age this was the chance to prolong his involvement in football as long as he was successful. Quite a few and important similarities. -
