A back three can be very effective, but you've got to have the right players, who are happy with the system . This also means the two wing backs have to know how to play the system.

Let me try to make this simple. If TM gets Reed to sign for us, then he will have persuaded Reed that he has a viable plan for the future which involves Reed playing. Ergo in my opinion if Reed goes so should TM.

That is the point. To get Reed to stay he will have to be, baring a complete dip in form, guaranteed a start in every game.

If TM can persuade Reedy to stay , then so can he. If not, then thanks but goodbye.

Just back from Villa. Here's a statement I never thought I would utter. I was quite impressed with Brereton when he came on. I thought that the linesman in front of us had a nightmare. For the first goal at the original ball into the box. the player looked a yard offside to me, ( I maybe wrong). But what I do know is that the linesman was ten yards behind play and could not have given the decision anyway. The rest of his match went down hill from there. If we had gotten anything from the game it would have been robbery. The only positive thing I took from the game was that we looked better after our three subs came on. Imari Bell is the softest defender I have ever seen in a challenge, decent wingers must love playing against him as they know they will not be taking any whacks.

We can't even get the colour of the shirts right, so don't stress over the badge.
