  1. Bradford are a banana skin not dissimilar to Blackpool last year. We need a run to give fringe players a game.
  2. The Baggies defender catches Ohashi in a reverse scissors
  3. McLoughlin, that back post chance apart, pleasantly surprised me. Alebiosu looks promising Kargbo terrified the Baggies until he had to distribute the ball. Miller a promising cameo and what a throw in. Everything else, oh dear. The ref- abysmal
  4. The ball doesn't reach Price if our player isn't held back.
  5. Ref the difference. Alebiosu pinioned from behind so he couldn't clear the throw in for their goal then that stonewall penalty not given.
  6. There is a Carabao game on Tuesday- guess Tyjon will start in that. Four players making their Rovers debut and the most experienced- McLoughlin - making me the most nervous.
  7. The irregular channels are not listing it at the moment so your best bet is the 11 quid pass on Rovers TV which will be available to international viewers
  8. There is enough out in the open to surmise: SS is making total fools of Pune SS covered his backside financially with the forced sale of Wharton SS doubling down saying he didn't know Wharton was that good means SS is doubling the mess he is in Even Pune will be looking at this Summer's football transfer business and know they could have covered the cash shortfall by lending under 10 million with a corresponding bond and sold Wharton for at least 40m in this window if there were anyone left at Ewood with the skill and gumption to set up a proper auction. Oh and we would have comfortably made the play offs and JE might not have sacked the club like JDT did before him. ie it is now so obvious that SS decision making is abysmal, even Venky's might notice.
  9. If minutes are being substantially altered and not a mere correction of error of fact (and noted as such) it means: 1) There is something in there which is so consequential the person making the alterations thinks it is less damaging to make the changes than to have everybody who attended know that there is something fishy going on/ there is an attempt to manipulate/somebody is in a desperate blind panic 2) It calls the integrity of the whole meeting and meeting records into question This was a large semi-public gathering and the storm which has resulted is entirely predictable. What I am reading into this is SS went into the meeting under prepared and over confident and was answering on the fly without considering consequences and certainly without any strategy. Rovers are any extremely public and public-facing organisation and what transpired was a commercial and public relations disaster for the Rovers management and ownership.
  10. Good read and perceptive. Oh dear Tavares!
  11. Sad to say it picking up similar bad vibes to what Glen is writing about. Going into the new season as a very unhappy set up. Ismael presser seemed very downbeat for the first game of the new season. I fear the down turn inTrav and Tronstad form is because their heart isn't in it any more.
  12. Saw bits. Brum a big side can knock it about well. Will be a serious challenge at Ewood. Ipswich don't look to have resolved issues that cost them in the Premier and got lucky. Championship refereeing hasn't improved based on that showing. Brum hard done by in what might have been aeeting of the top two next May. Deserved better officiating for such a show case first game of the season.
  13. Big question is about Miller starting and whether Henriksson is fitted in.

  15. Total admiration for the fans who participated and for Glen in particular... SS has been at Rovers for 13 years now hasn't he? He came in when Jerome Anderson was half pushed out. His lack of footballing nouse accumulated in that time is breathtaking. I used to give Swag criticism but the guy somehow survived 7 years managing to work alongside SS. No wonder the TV pictures of the Rovers "directors" always showed them direly miserable and not talking to each other. As for the Adam Wharton comment, I am sitting in Malta and I had heard about him when Salesbury Primary won the National Football Cup! ZERO AMBITION, ZERO MANAGEMENT SENSE, ZERO STAKEHOLDER AWARENESS
  16. https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/articles/c5y2g678k6xo BBC Championship preview and prediction. I will save you the effort, we are forecast to come 23rd sandwiched in relegation between Hull City and Sheffield Wednesday with PNE surviving in 21st.
  17. That is my reading also for what its worth. I think we are getting strength in depth for once so come the January horrors the XI we put out doesn't drop off precipitously. We have still got 20+ days to the "can anyone find that fax machine?" moment and the PL has shipped very few players out on loan yet. I would be feeling OKish about this window were it not for Pasha and the Venky's capacity for screw up/sabotage... Brittain's valedictory confirms all the worst fears that the club hasn't learned from being sacked by JDT and JE.
  18. Did you write this after Ismael's comments?
  19. Miller certainly starting with the Brittain departure. Henriksson might have arrived too late for Ismael to coach into him the Rovers needs. Besides which we don't really know where in midfield he will slot. I would argue Hedges is more a wide midfielder than winger so he could take that slot rather than be a challenger to Trav, Tronstad, Cantwell and Forshaw. No bad thing that WBA are probably seeing the player list at 2pm on Saturday as much a mystery as it is to us.
  20. Sheff Utd flog Ahmedozdic for 15.6m to Feyernoord
