  1. NEC Nejmegen are in a decent top league kicking off next week. Shame Cantwell has a knock because he would have given them something to think about. Only Tyjon doesn't look outclassed.
  2. Sound on the NEC feed, none on the Rovers feed
  3. Cantwell missing is the one that is concerning. He featured prominently in the video of midweek training. Obviously Brittain is gone.
  4. https://www.nec-nijmegen.nl/n.e.c.-tv.htm Counter to the live stream starting is now showing. Meanwhile on Rovers TV you can watch a replay of the Sheffield United game from last season...
  5. Live feed starts 30 minutes before the game apparently.
  6. https://www.nec-nijmegen.nl/nieuws/nieuws/bezoekersinformatie-n.e.c.-blackburn-rovers.htm NEC will play their final friendly match this Saturday in preparation for the new season. They will face Blackburn Rovers at the Goffert Stadium. Kick-off is at 4:00 PM. Below you will find the attendance information for this match. For this match, NEC will be opening the Hazenkamp Stand. Supporters with a season ticket or club ticket can purchase four tickets. You can buy your ticket online for just €7.50. Tickets at the door on Saturday cost €10 each and will be sold at the ticket office on the forecourt, subject to availability. Due to expected crowds, NEC advises supporters to purchase a match ticket (online) in advance. The match will also be broadcast live on NEC TV.
  7. Initial Gueye reaction is oh no followed by we have just signed a guy with a long throw and we are selling the guy whose head will be aimed for... Then realisation Gueye won't be starting unless Ohashi is injured. There is no doubt Gueye is a cult figure who has bonded incredibly well but let's see what the offer is.
  8. Reading the situation at Hillsborough, a 44 game Championship season and just 2 relegation slots is a 50/50 likelihood this morning.
  9. https://www.nec-nijmegen.nl/nieuws/nieuws/bezoekersinformatie-n.e.c.-blackburn-rovers.htm According to this, the game will be on NEC TV. Seems they are expecting a good sized crowd. https://www.nec-nijmegen.nl/n.e.c.-tv.htm - no details yet. The NEC website underlines HOW UTTERLY PATHETIC THE ROVERS WEBSITE IS.
  10. 1. Winners of the Championship Ipswich- sorry to be unoriginal 2. Automatic promotion (runners-up) in the Championship Birmingham to do an Ipswich 3. Four Play off semi-finalists in the Championship Coventry Middlesbrough Southampton Rovers (assuming a Leicester points deduction) 4. Three relegated sides from the Championship Oxford Hull Sheffield Wednesday 5. Where will Rovers finish in the Championship? 6th (has to happen eventually) 6. First Championship club to change manager (after the season starts) Watford 7. Winners of the Premier League Liverpool 8. A notable wild card prediction of something that will happen in the Rovers universe during the season (e.g. Donald Trump visits Ewood Park) I finally get to a game at Ewood again
  11. Less than 24 hours to kick off and total silence about how to watch it.
  12. Did the same v Qatar We could at least have given them Pasha.
  13. Huge surge of posts but nothing has actually happened.
  14. Apparently Miller has a devastating long throw on him.
  15. Come on Eustace, bid 5m. You know you want to.
  16. I see Rovers have drawn Morecambe in the first game of Group A of the National League Cup. Or maybe not...
  17. Indian Chicken feed is a classic business with a moat. Difficult to exploit for profit maximisation but Venky's has a national logistics set up nobody else is remotely likely to want to compete against because of the low ticket/low margin and limited opportunity for diversification- there is only so much penicillin etc. a chicken is able to pop down.
  18. If we have ambition, both Weiman and Baath had the possibility of being big players for us in a promotion push this season. As a Pasha cash management operation, neither player would feature in Rovers operations and Derby have done Pasha a big favour. As for signing a Saudi international, I hope the loaning club are paying a chunk of his wages...
  19. That is not going to happen and despite Rovers and extravagant birthday parties, the "kids" plus Mr Desai have done much better at managing and growing their inheritance than Jack Walker's heirs have with their's.
  20. Good that Harry's back but will have to take his word for it from that animated postage stamp.
  21. Remember the portion of the publicly quoted company they still own is a tiny fraction of the family wealth.
