  1. Ok, how are the fans going to demonstrate support for JDT at the QPR game today?
  2. Yes horrifically badly managed. Has to be Waggott's decision and is plain wrong. No, sorry but having mulled this over I am struggling to find a scenario in which JDT is not leaving.
  3. Not good. Thanks Rovers for ruining Friday night after having had a very good day. Rovers have always been heart breakers throughout my life but the last 12 years has been one self inflicted shambles after another. Of course JDT will not be the easiest person to work with. Driven professionals never are. But he is a class act in what is sadly a classless club now.
  4. Turning all SWAG for a moment, yesterday should keep us in the Championship without relegation worries. With Fleck, MacFazdean and Garrett likely to feature, the ice pack and stitches count in the opposition dressing rooms will go up quite a bit...
  5. Isaac Hayden linking with Ilias Chair could be serious problems for us. We should be able to carry on where we left off at Loftus Road but as I have said before, should doesn't equal 3 points.
  6. Core of a World XI sitting on the subs bench on merit!
  7. Please start an underwhelmed and disappointed thread about each of the 5 signings in the January Window!
  8. Adam leaves with great dignity. What an interview that is and I teared up never mind Adam's visible emotions. Worth pointing out that not only were the current ownership limited in their spending in previous years by FFP (we will never know if they would have spent more in seasons past) but Rovers have been crippled by FFP in the PL. Both Everton and Newcastle would have scrapped it out for Adam's signature had both of them not been at the limit or over of what they do in the market this January. So waiting for a big club could have been a wait in vain. I just hope the emotional wrangler we all got put through on Wednesday night produced a sell on clause because Palace are not the most obvious candidates to give Adam Champions League football..
  9. I got banned for being far less disrespectful about our fans than this...
  10. So we lost our future, gained two OAPs, got someone recognisable as a striker and unless we have another injury crisis with 10 players out, JDT can't use the lines "it is about the players we haven't got" or "we are a very young team" again. 5 loans and 2 six month deals mean GB and the 8 in the recruitment department will have a busy job between now and the end of the summer window. Going to be weird looking for clips of Sheffield United and Crystal Palace because despite my aversion to both those clubs, that is where my favourite Rovers are...
  11. Or folks at Ewood and Brockhall are feeling very burned by yesterday's disclosures and have completely STFU ed I am ITK to the extent nobody but nobody is talking today.
  12. Seems we are back to Plan A on incomings if these rumours are true. IF we played hard ball about getting one if not two Palace players in on loan they did not want to let out and on favourable terms, it would explain the near break down yesterday and Palace still not officially announcing Adam (unless I have missed something). Could be heading towards all Rovers/Palace business being announced at once. Meantime the dingles have raided Lowland League Albion Rovers for a 19 year old.
  13. Disagree. He is a professional sportsman who could suffer a serious injury at any time. At Palace the millions are locked in even if he breaks his neck in his first training ground tackle. If he is as good as we think he is, he gets transferred to the bigger club anyway and his agent gets a second even bigger transfer cut.
  14. Andy Bayes The latest, as I understand it is that the Wharton transfer came close to collapse last night. That had a knock on effect to potential incomings at Blackburn. The Wharton deal appears to be back on and close to completion & Blackburn can get on with recruitment
  15. So now the American lad deal is back on according to some reports. Rovers relaying a blip in the Adam deal (before it was resolved and the deal completed) to keep Orlando in the loop became blown up as a total breakdown according to the same reports. GB too busy to do MacFazdean media yesterday or today. Back to checking social media every ten minutes today. Or maybe not...
  16. All along I have had a nagging recollection of having slogged through the paperwork presented to the Indian Court last time. To sum up, we have no alternative to protect the English asset except to transfer the 11m. Selling Adam has provided an alternative. I am speculating but a call from their lawyers along the lines of you don't expect us to prevail in March now do you??? And blocking all ins and outs is the only sensible option and we are totally screwed until losses have consumed the Adam cash and even then only losses can be supported. Speculation as I said. Speculation of them making the horrible but sensible decision when nothing of their funding Rovers losses has made sense.
  17. Our team: Anybody who is still here not on crutches We slaughtered them at Loftus Road with a line up paradoxically not that different from the players available for Saturday. They have had their post Ainsworth bounce and are back struggling again. A must not lose for us but realistically a great chance to start rebuilding league and home form. I almost expect Szmodics to move closer to a goal a game with this one...
  18. Blast from the past. Liverpool apparently bidding for Tosin Aderobayo from Fulham.
  19. https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/24084595.bolton-boss-provides-update-pursuit-blackburn-striker/ Bolton confirm they are chasing Ennis
  20. One of Palace superstars must be on the move to a CL or big 6 club. If not Adam better spend some of his 50k a week on bench bum ointment.
  21. So our two Academy gems sign for London clubs within 6 months of each other. As previously posted, the share of profit on sale should give us a decent chunk of 50 to 100 million in two or three years and selling him now means we can use 12m in the transfer market wisely with 2 days to deadline. 11m will inevitably be held back. If I were Venkys lawyers I would be using March not to plead the case for operational costs to be covered but to get the shackles removed. If the shackles are not removed, we really are in the land of wtf
  22. The rumours shall I call them about what happened are hairy. Anderson and Huber ended up acting for the Trust desperate to find a buyer and Venkys. Double bubble fees. Venkys were apparently not their first choice. First choice informally failed fit and proper when name was bounced off the Premier League. Then it got extremely hairy unpicking that first choice... Talking of rumours, Sir Frank Lowey of Westfield and if that was the case the way he was "discouraged" was rumoured to be shall we say unethical.
  23. 6 to 7 weeks sadly. Add at least 4 weeks to that for Hayden Carter.
  24. Aargh being confused for Nixon Ok back from my shower. If nobody at Rovers is showing common sense we will all need to take a shower.. Back into the public domain. Scott Wharton talking about two coming in and JDT answering transfer questions without saying "ask Gregg" suggests the club is pretty close to signings. As for a different comment about Jerry Yates scoring penalties for Blackpool, how many of our recent in game penalties have we missed?
