It's not just weeds. The fascia around the Blackburn End and JW Stand are filthy and discoloured due to lack of maintenance. These need specialist equipment and cherry pickers to clean them and no doubt a lot more time given the ongoing neglect. The galvanised railing on the perimeter is rusty. I just wonder what the inside of the ground is like.

The secret of good maintenance is to keep on in top of things in a schedule and not letting them get into such a state. And it's not just this summer when Ewood has been neglected. It has been getting grubbier and unkempt over a lot longer period. There weren't any pictures of the memorial garden but I'd be surprised if that isn't in poor condition.

I really don't know - in my view there should he no exceptions. Confusion reigns.

I keep reading from several posters that Venkys are paying the bills. Presumably that does not cover the cleansing and maintenance bills. And Mowbray saw fit to give a month's extra money to players he had no intention of playing. A decade of decay sums that lot up perfectly.

How on earth can anybody in their right mind defend the club for that? It embarrasses and angers me as a supporter to see that. And the seeds were sown (no pun intended) some time ago as I noticed Ewood Park looking unkempt and in need of cleaning and tidying. I put it down to laziness and too many people in power in their comfort zone, who don't seem bothered as our club deteriorates. Sometimes basic as that could be sorted out at very little cost to the club. Simply advertise for volunteers to do the weeding and cleaning and the reward could be a season ticket. Oh wait a minute................

I could be wrong but looking at some of the players it's more of a reserve team. If I get chance later I'll check in one of the history books.
