It would seem from this report that the Leicester City's owners business is heading for major financial problems. With a potential points deduction and as yet no manager could they be another Luton? https://foxesofleicester.com/breaking-leicester-news-king-power-owners-at-risk-of-bankruptcy
-
The only exception to that ruling would be if the club had fewer than 23 players in their senior playing squad, in which case they would be allowed to bring in a free transfer or free loan without breaking the embargo.
-
As it states 'fee restriction' I took that to mean they can sign players but maybe only free or low value signings. I recall something similar with us when we were under an embargo and I think there was also a limit we could pay new signings.

https://news.bet365.com/en-gb/article/premier-league-boxing-day-new-years-day-fixtures/2025061808503860465 They are subject to change but why didn't they just arrange the programme for Boxing Day and then give the 'subject to change' line (which all fixtures are anyway).
-
Looking at their games it appears that there are no Boxing Day or NYD fixtures in the Premier League.

Burnley are at Spurs in their first match so we will be away in our first match the week before.

150th Anniversary kit/celebrations

I didn't buy one for myself but my granddaughter got the same size as last season. She actually had last season's with her and it was exactly the same. -

It was really simple to buy them actually. I queued outside for twenty minutes for the 5 o'clock slot and once inside it was explained that there is a rack for trying shirts on but otherwise it was a short wait to buy them from the four staff manning the tills. As I went out at 5.15 there was quite a bottleneck so I don't know how that will effect later slots. If each time slot is as busy they will shift a lot today. -
Quite a few games are on Channel 5.

I don't know the details of the contract between Macron and Rovers but I'd take a guess and say a special one-off isn't included in it. If it isn't included then they should use some other supplier and create something which is befitting of the clubs heritage. However I don't expect anything from them as it might involve some work. -

It was during a Sheffield Wednesday v Sheffield United match in 2002. I gave a free kick to SU and Carl Asaba wanted to take it quickly and I was caught out of position. He wellied it and caught me flush on the forehead - much to the amusement of thousands in the stadium and watching on Sky 😂. I was literally seeing stars but recovered to put in a faultless performance 😂. Carl told me it was an accident but was smiling as he said it. 😉 -
I was told yesterday by someone in the club that the current figure was just over 8000. I asked how many were sold in Phase 2 and told "not so many". They were warned but their arrogance meant they wouldn't listen.

Sam Szmodics - opinion changed ?
arbitro replied to Tugayisgod's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
He did play at Accrington for 45 minutes in pre season and went off injured (I saw him post match in a protective boot - really over the top). He scored in the first game against Derby after coming on as a substitute and started against Stockport scoring twice. In both appearances he was the fully committed player he always was. To compare him to Gestede is totally unfair in my view. -

As you say Tyrone the internet is to today's generation what Shoot, Goal and Charles Buchan was to us. Newspapers were the nearest thing to real time information we had most of the time. I vividly remember when Rovers played away in midweek waiting up to watch News at Ten to get the result. Invariably it was right at the end of the programme too. Then the meat was out on the bones by Alf Thornton in the following days Evening Telegraph. I used to buy the Rothmans Year Book every season and built up knowledge by poring over that. MOTD and The Big Match were other sources and the occasional live game on TV. -

It looks like Mick Wood. -
Japan lost 1-0 to a 90th minute Australian goal.
-
He got several positive mentions in the text commentary although one mentioned a shot that was 'high and wide' and another where he was caught offside.

Blackburn Rovers Women

In this whole sorry saga I wonder if they have got a ground to play their home matches on. Last season Ewood was used (I'm sure I read there was a financial inducement to do so) but I can't see it being used now given the status they have been dropped to. Hiring another ground can be expensive. I know that a few years ago it was £2k per match to use the LFA facility in Leyland. I genuinely wouldn't be surprised if it's something they hadn't thought of. -

The sponsor of the Rovers women, Dakota Biotech are apparently the business who offered to fund the running of the women's team. The company is owned by an ex Darrener and keen Rovers fan.
