  1. Surprised you're still on here after faithfully assuring everyone Saturday lunchtime there'd been a hitch but that he would still be registered as a Blackburn Rovers player. Why do you pretend to be ITK? You just make yourself look silly.
  2. The poor player is back in the US isn't he?
  3. Well, they didn't exactly "throw Broughton under the bus" last year, either he owned up to it because it was his fault like he said or it wasn't his fault in which case it was obviously agreed between everyone that he would front up to it with no comeback for anyone. Either way the failure of a transfer like that is his responsibility as DOF. And its now happened twice.
  4. The Ennis fee would have covered the Mcguire loan fee though which I suspect was why the Mcguire deal was resurrected in that fashion. Its nice of the LT to come sheepishly to the party albeit a couple of weeks late. Remember Jackson originally described people commenting on this as being "sensationalist". Perhaps on balance his paymasters decided it would have made them look very foolish if for instance Rovers had gone into administration and they hadn't even acknowledged any goings on as previously was the case. Good to see that they are finally on board though as it will increase the pressure on the Club and they might not be quite as inclined in future to simply put out the usual offerings of PR fluff from the Club to pacify/mislead the fans. Nothing new in the LT article that we couldn't reasonably deduce from the fact that the original Mcguire deal was pulled mid flight and replaced by a proposed loan deal. And we knew previously the Court hearing had been postponed so financial issues were likely. It STILL doesn't explain though how we managed to fuck up the loan deal (like 12 months ago) after it was authorised. Reverting back to your first paragraph the most sensible move of the window would indeed have been to offload Gallagher and bring in Mcguire permanently at zero net cost. We don't often do sensible though.
  5. Everything been brushed under the carpet today then? JDT refusing to walk without a pay off, owners refusing to shell out to pay him off, our DOF mute as usual on the window in general and Mcguire in particular and as with 12 months ago no obvious accountability for anyone for another calamitous failure?
  6. and Broughton seemingly, as I predicted. But hey - sacrificial lamb slaughtered, nothing to see here, business as normal.
  7. Yes, even if you assume GB is completely blameless in this latest fiasco (and I don't actually believe it's his fault we seemingly had to swap from Permanent deals to loan deals) if he nevertheless doesn't resign and tries to present the window as a success then he is obviously happy working under those conditions and is completely complicit in the entire charade.
  8. So if we're going to afford Sylvester the defence used in support of GB's innocence, wonder why JDT didn't say " I suggest you direct those questions to Ian Silvester" then?
  9. What's BS about that? Waggott is responsible for the Commercial side, Broughton the football side. Ha! on both counts.
  10. There doesn't seem to be any recognition whatsoever on the LT comments or on certain fans groups that we're at the mercy of an Indian Court and that it's the owners' fault because they made illegal payments. It's like it never happened. Mind you most on here seem to be equally in denial that certain employees at the Club could ever do anything wrong.
  11. Don't be so cynical. We'll never have any problem ever again and everything will absolutely fly through in future now "the culprit" has been unearthed.
  12. Plus...... Broughton accepted full responsibility for the O Brien one anyway.
  13. Thank you. I do seem to remember Tom's title was Club Secretary and Sylvester was dubbed football Secretary but again I stand to be corrected.
  14. So Silvester, who if memory serves me was appointed by Williams and Finn as Football Secretary years ago and worked for years without any issue whatsoever, all of a sudden has lost the ability to complete a deal anymore and it just happens to coincide with the period since Broughton's been at the Club? Righty ho then.
  15. If true, what a fucking joke. Make Sylvester the sacrificial lamb and Waggott/Broughton come out completely unscathed. Broughton for the second time and Waggott for about the 6th time for various things. There's no hope.
  16. What I meant was - accept responsibility for something thats not your fault and just walk out without a pay off. It affects your future marketability. If you've done nothing wrong , resign and take them to Court at a later date and/or negotiate a severance package by mutual consent.
  17. And with good reason it seems. As for the second paragraph behave yourself chaddy. Waggott is now responsible for the Commercial side of the Club (and is failing miserably) Broughton is Director of FOOTBALL and is responsible for footballing matters. (And is failing miserably) He also specifically said that procedures had been put in place following the O Brien debacle to prevent this sort of thing happening again.
  18. That much is obvious but what has it got to do with a failure to get the loan deal over the line?
  19. He's not to blame if a decision has been made to switch from Permanent transfers to loans obviously. But the mechanics of getting the loan deal over the line are clearly his responsibility. Unless someone within the Club (2 obvious candidates) are deliberately sabotaging the deals. In which case he won't resign. No-one in their right minds resigns over something that isn't their fault.
  20. Why do people keep repeating the same line? It's getting tiresome. It's EVERYTHING to do with the owners because they keep employing chances like Waggott and Broughton then take no action when they constantly fuck up. Absolutely zero accountability.
  21. It's unbelievable that he survived the O Brien debacle. He should have been sacked then but wasn't and look where we are now as a result- twelve months on and something similar has happened again. In that respect the Club have got what they deserved for the lack of accountability. He's DOF so this sort of stuff is his responsibility. People want it both ways, if Waggott does something awful everyone rightly wants to blame the owners because it's their name over the door. The opposite seems to apply with GB though even though transfer business is firmly within his remit as DOF. Everyone scrambles to try to absolve him for responsibility for matters clearly within his remit. His recruitment has been shite as well imo. (I know you disagree so let's not run through merits of individual players for the zillionth time.) Suffice to say I think we saw what JDT thought of it with only one of the six available signings starting the game on Saturday. Not convinced he'll go this time anyway. He'll probably attempt to bull shit his way out of it and come up smelling of roses for a second time. Say what you like but these O Brien and Mcguire type debacle have only started occurring since his arrival at the Club.
  22. Good to hear from you unleaded, was wondering where you'd gone and was hoping you'd post so we could get a flavour of what was REALLY going on. No surprise whatsoever to hear we've made ourselves persona non gratis with players and agents alike. I can't see a way outbof that until the regime changes completely. Having decided to restrict ourselves to loans with a view which will never be exercised however, how did we even manage to cock up one of those?
