  1. Glad to hear it. I do respect your opinion as I know you have held meetings with Waggott due to your previous concerns about the future direction of the Club. We just have widely differing views on Nyambe’s ability I think.
  2. Seem to remember he told someone on here that Lenihan was on the point of signing months ago as well.
  3. Great Post, the only thing I would disagree on is that IF anyone offered £3m for Nyambe (which I don't think they would anyway) that definitely isn't an offer we couldn't refuse in January given the potential prize on offer. Given the stakes for me it would take an offer of at least £10m to even consider letting any of the 3 leave this month.
  4. Of course we can agree to disagree. I have to say I don't place any weight whatsoever on what you say about RN as you're another one who has Waggott's confidence. Therefore whilst your view might be the same one held as the one held by Waggott and Mowbray, in my view it's completely the wrong one.
  5. You'd have thought that it would have been "very easy" to replace Amari Bell as well (who isn't a patch on RN) Then we ended up with Barry Douglas..... Without even getting into the farce that saw Raya being sold and replaced by the abysmal Christian Walton.
  6. Exactly. it isn't rocket science is it but the logic seems to elude Swag. Same for the other two.
  7. Again, your subjective opinion. I strongly disagree. Lenihan wouldn't be hard to replace per se we could replace him with Souttar for example. Souttar might not do as well but then a Nyambe replacement probably wouldn't do as well as RN either.
  8. That's purely your own subjective opinion though because you don't rate RN. If Rovers do indeed have a relatively modest wage cap of £15k by Championship standards I'd say RN is definitely worth that or thereabouts as a senior member of the squad. You would no doubt disagree because you don't rate him as highly. Has Steve Waggott asked you to come on here and consistently run RN down because talks "have gone stale"?
  9. I think you must have been drinking this afternoon, we're 3rd in the table and from the Club's point of view there's no distinction between the three. They've all been absolutely integral to our success this season and we'd get next to nothing for any of them were they to leave in January.
  10. I'm fairly sure it won't be anywhere near as much as Rothwell is allegedly seeking! Funnily enough no-one seems to have any criticism of the other two for trying to get what they think they're worth though.
  11. Surely even Mowbray and Waggott wouldn't be daft enought to authorise that though would they?
  12. It doesn't say it in the article, I think someone on here assumed a likely fee would be £1m given his contractual situation. Hopefully just silly season talk. "Considering a move for" could mean anything. They might or they might not and the author has employed the sort of open ended language that Nixon uses then no-one can say he was wrong whatever happens.
  13. How much would you expect with just 6 months left on his contract? Just as a point of order, the other story about Leeds being interested in Nyambe claimed we "wanted" £3m for Nyambe. It didn't say anyone was prepared to offer that for him given his contractual situation, and I'd imagine the same applies to the other two.
  14. Let's be honest if ANY of the 3 were to go in January it would likely be a disaster for any hopes we might have of promotion. I don't think it would make that much difference that he was going to Bournemouth per se but it would be especially galling for the supporters if we sold him and they went on to be promoted and we dropped out of contention. As I've said about the RB link, let's hope this just is all silly season speculation. The owners have allegedly been reported on Sky as saying no - one is going anywhere, Mowbray has said no-one is going anywhere, so let's see if they are as good as their word.
  15. Hopefully just silly season speculation but losing a key member of the first X1 for a loanee who has never played in this Country and who may or may not hit the ground running would be far from the best either. As capable back up for Nyambe however until the end of the season looks like he could be a decent acquisition potentially.
  16. Well yes, people have been saying we need a back up to Nyambe as a priority so if this guy is that, no complaints there. Is he that though? If it's a case of replacing one with the other, it just smacks to me of unnecessarily disrupting the starting X1 and the harmony in the dressing room for the sake of it and its unlikely to be any cheaper in the long run. Interestingly Mowbray has changed his tune and now said in the LT no-one will be leaving so we'll have to wait and see.
  17. JRC's crap (at full back) and the other guy has come from a Pub League.
  18. We haven't seen anything of this guy, whereas we know for certain Nyambe is the real deal. I would far rather pay Nyambe what he wants. And, what's the betting if Nyambe departs in January, this guy follows in summer leaving us without a RB.
  19. Yet Mowbray used exactly the same argument in reverse to justify NOT handing out improved deals to the three at an appropriate time. Didn't want to upset the rest of the squad etc.
  20. Nyambe's worth far more than 8k p.w. imo. IF that's all he's asking for we should have snapped his hand off at the elbow from the outset. I would have thought they all want approximate parity with our top earners, and looking at their contributions on the pitch it's hard to make a case they shouldn't get it. The key thing from the Club's point of view is, could we replace them with similar quality for less than the cost of offering them improved deals? I'd say clearly not.
