We seem to be operating transfers on a one in one out basis, players going out on loan before another comes in etc, 20 k p.w. striker only coming in on loan at the last minute on the basis we ship out 17/18k p.w. Sigurdsson etc etc. Any promises made regarding funding havent been met to date and its difficult to see that changing no matter what is said.

Id imagine they have an annual budget and that 95% of decisions which fall within the budget are made in house. It'll only be when unusual expenditure outside the budget for a transfer window is needed or when something out of the ordinary crops up like the manager threatning to leave that they get consulted Id wager.

Indeed we will. To answer one of your other questions I dont know if Ive been calling for it as long as you, but for the last few months Ive been saying that Eustace needed to be given an improved deal and it was more important than any signings we could make in the transfer window.

Nothing like that in real terms. When the last attempt to sell Brockhall was made I think the figures were it cost £3.2m to run but we got a grant of £1.9m towards the running of it. A bargain in relative terms you'd imagine most regimes would think.

I cant see the difference from their point of view. Realistically to offload control they're going to have to write off the debt due to themselves and more or less give the Club away anyhow. (Unless we get promoted)

Why not if at some point a bit further down the line they are still losing money and there's no further funds to be squeezed out of player sales, a sale of the other bit of Brockhall etc?

I dont think the Court proceedings have any actual effect on us now but back when Waggott gave the infamous "coach" interview they were very much affecting us and seemingly changed their stance and attitude on us for good. It does feel like we're moving (very slowly) towards some kind of end game and I suspect it's going to be tortuous in the meantime.

There's no sense in letting them walk out for nothing though under any scenario unless they've calculated that overall it would be cheaper than giving them an extended contract on an increased salary.

Thats the problem supporters groups who have wanted to help in the past have faced.

It doesnt prevent any money being sent. They're not sending money over because they seemingly dont WANT to provide personal guarantees for any money sent. Doesnt even involve them in any extra expenditure as long as they dont do anything else wrong.

They held JDT to his contract for a long while when he clearly wasnt happy and it was only when he mentioned Pasha publically and was clearly about to let rip on the Mcguire debacle that it seemed to be the straw that broke the camel's back. I dont think they'd have any qualms about keeping Eustace here for a few days even if they knew he was leaving.

I agree completely. I would lose a lot of interest if Lowe was appointed and Martin seems like an arrogant cock of the highest order - "Ill play football my way even if it isnt in the best interests of the Club and gets us relegated with a record low number of points". I really hope Eustace stays but if not we need an immediate solution, we cant afford for a managerial search to take 4-6 weeks and everyone's morale would be absolute rock bottom in the meantime. My preferred solution to making the best of a bad job would be to go for an immediate short term solution of appointing Warnock or Allardyce until the end of the season. It would stop everyone feeling sorry for themselves and put a few smiles back on everyone's faces. If we dont go up then we're fucked at the end of the season, but then as things stand, we are anyway and at least this would give us a slight chance of pulling off the impossible. Id include Dyche in that list as well but doubt he'd be interested.
