How much has the debt to the owners risen by since Mowbray took over. And, if we don't go up, are we actually any better off in relative terms?
  2. On current form outside play offs.
  3. Depends where we finish at the end of the season Gav. If we finish in the play off positions it would be a creditable effort albeit disappointing after where we were a month or so ago. Going to have to improve massively to do even that though.
  4. Not sure you can say Ayala was swinging the lead on this occasion but what you can say with certainty is he has a career history of being injury prone and/or going awol for whatever reason so overall, given the money he's on he has to go down as a bad signing for me. Dont agree with the bit about Travis. The rest is absolutely spot on. It needs saying. I can't believe how blase people are being about us having slipped so tamely and quickly out of the automatic promotion reckoning. It's not on, if form had tailed off very slightly then fair enough but if we were good enough to get into 2nd in the first place then the form over the last few games has been simply unacceptable. If we were playing like this in any other season the pitchforks would be well and truly out but TM is getting away with it at the moment purely because we played well before Chrismas. It's not on. We've already had quite enough dung thrown our way over the last 10 years without this to cap it all off.
  5. Looks like Mowbray is going to take us on a run the likes of which has rarely (if ever) been seen before from a side sat 2nd in the table in January. Poor transfer window combined with his own stubbornness 2 points from 12, no goal in 374 mins. Khedra and Dolan both did way more in 15 mins than Gallagher in 90. Yet Mowbray wont concede he's been a bad signing and persists in playing him despite all evidence to the contrary. That's why ultimately we'll never succeed with him at the helm. Decent point in some ways given the fact we were playing with 9 (JRC and Gallagher) but not what we needed given the run we've been on. Pl Play offs looking a bit of a pipe dream in this form sadly.
  6. Get JRC off before he gets sent off.
  7. You've never looked at the accounts then.....

  9. Swag isn't "cheap" either as Gav claims.
  10. His legacy if we don't go up is burning through £120m of the owners money to absolutely no avail and allowing several key players to walk out for nothing. If we go up he would deserve great credit but that is looking increasingly unlikely and I suspect he is a still an extremely poor manager on a previously temporarily good run of form thanks to the efforts of players forced on him due to the incompetence of him and Waggott. In terms of the managers we've had in my 51 years of watching the Club I'd say he's the worst apart from Coyle, Ince, and Iley. The others who have only been here temporarily in the owners more erratic days whilst maybe not the answer never had the luxury of the time and the ample financial backing he has had. Will be delighted to be proved wrong in May.
  11. The news about Kaminsky is probably the most positive bit of news that's come out of Ewood in some considerable time. We've obviously learned a bit from the Nyambe/Lenihan/Rothwell catastrophe.
  12. Contract or the misguided belief that Zeefuick is better than Nyambe is irrelevant. It was the wrong decision and we lost the game as we have every time Nyambe hasn't started recently.
  13. If he takes us up, think we could do better but probably deserves a brief crack at it, rolling 12 m deal. If we don't go up, thanks for leaving us another £120m in debt and with many of our best players walking out for nothing. Don't let the door hit you on the arse on the way out.
  14. He seemingly won't play Nyambe because his contract is up at the end of the season so perhaps he should leave himself out of the dug out as well for the next match using the same criteria?
  15. Post of the year so far. Bravo Sir.
  16. Not sure why Gallagher is being seen as a pick by many, he showed up better than he normally does but when push came to shove he reverted to type and muffed his lines by missing a sitter put on a plate for him by Dolan. The obvious thing is to go back to the line up which has served us well which Mowbray hasn't done in the last two games. Then and only then should he try to change it if things aren't going well in game.
  17. Nothing much he can do, he didn't sign a striker in the window.
  18. Some people like yourself are reading things that aren't there, I thought Rothwell's attitude was absolutely spot on last night, he ran his socks off. Lenihan's head didn't appear to be right but up until the last couple of games people had been complimenting him on how well he'd been playing and what a warrior he was. Were you one of the ones that was ok with dropping Nyambe pre match as well?
  19. Would rather go for Hughes personally.
  20. Sack him for me whilst we still have a chance of the play offs. Compensation should be minimal by now. At least someone else might start with our best eleven players.
  21. Best Post of the night imo. I really don't see why there's a distinction in Mowbray's head between Nyambe and Zeefuick. So what if Nyambe has declined to sign a new deal thus far? You're not telling me there's the slightest chance Zeefuik will still be here next season either if we don't go up. There's no way imo we'd spend €3m on a RB when we don't even seem prepared to invest that on a goalscorer. And that's even assuming he'd be worth 3m. On what we've seen so far you'd struggle to pay 300k for him. Secondly, if I were the owners I'd be fuming. They've generously agreed to forgo the chance of any fees for the 3 amigos so that Mowbray could have them at his disposal for the last 18 games to give us the best possible chance of promotion. Then, the manager won't play him! You simply couldn't make it up. It's breaking my heart to see Mowbray wrecking our promotion chances by refusing to put our best eleven players out on the pitch - Khedra and Brereton last Saturday, Nyambe tonight. We will never get a better chance of automatic promotion than the one we've seemingly spurned due to a really poor window and the managers idiosyncrasies. And who knows when we'll be in a position to even challenge for the play offs again if a stream of our best players are constantly allowed to walk out for nothing. Like Moyes last night it's Mowbray's job to put the best team possible out on the pitch for the football Club and leave personal feelings aside. I thought Moyes on balance was wrong but then again Nyambe hasn't really done anything wrong off the pitch and has always been impeccable on it so there's no comparison.
  22. What's the ref done wrong? Think he's been quite lenient towards us some of the nasty pointless fouls we've done.
  23. 2 goals from Nyambe's side of the pitch tonight. Well done Mowbray.
