v Millwall (h) - Saturday 19th February

If they'd been ASKED to provide a cover in case of emergency and refused, or, said that we were not allowed to turn the heating on to save costs you might have a point for once Gav ! Somehow I'd very much doubt it. -

JFHC. If Waggott is saying "Give it a chance" then he's effectively admitting the pitch isn't up to the required standard. The pitch should be pristine you imbecile! (Waggott not chaddy!) -

Spot on. Seemingly not enough people attempting to clear it. -

Put a cover on the pitch then! No excuses! (If it was up to me I'd also play on a pitch like Luton 1976 when Killer Keeley nearly broke Fuccillo's neck but standards are different now obviously) -

Perhaps at that point he thought we could adequately clear the pitch of snow and not (judging by the photos) have 4-6 people prodding away at it? Looks like there was snow on some parts of the pitch and not others from the most recent pics. Don't understand why there would have been any snow on the pitch at all if the undersoil heating had been switched on/working. Edit: It looks to me like due to cost cutting we've done the bare minimum possible to try and get the game on and not quite got away with it. Of course the Club are going to try and save face and blame the ref but what investment does he have in seeing a game called off if not necessary? -

Anyone blaming the referee is missing the point by a Country mile I think. Like a dodgy tackle in the penalty area, don't put the referee in a position where he even has a call to make. If we still have operational undersoil heating there's no excuse at all for the pitch to have been in the snow covered condition it appeared to be in at mid day and if we know there,s a particularly bad storm on the way, is it too much effort to cover the pitch temporarily? THe pitch should have been pristine not marginal. -

Looking at the pictures of the pitch from earlier, do we not have undersoil heating any more then? -

What an outstanding player Nyambe is. Probably our most consistent performer over the last few seasons. It absolutely beggars belief the Club have been prepared to risk him walking out for nothing for the last 12-18 months and seemingly still are. -

How much has the debt to the owners risen by since Mowbray took over. And, if we don't go up, are we actually any better off in relative terms?

Where will we finish?

On current form outside play offs. -

Depends where we finish at the end of the season Gav. If we finish in the play off positions it would be a creditable effort albeit disappointing after where we were a month or so ago. Going to have to improve massively to do even that though. -

Not sure you can say Ayala was swinging the lead on this occasion but what you can say with certainty is he has a career history of being injury prone and/or going awol for whatever reason so overall, given the money he's on he has to go down as a bad signing for me. Dont agree with the bit about Travis. The rest is absolutely spot on. It needs saying. I can't believe how blase people are being about us having slipped so tamely and quickly out of the automatic promotion reckoning. It's not on, if form had tailed off very slightly then fair enough but if we were good enough to get into 2nd in the first place then the form over the last few games has been simply unacceptable. If we were playing like this in any other season the pitchforks would be well and truly out but TM is getting away with it at the moment purely because we played well before Chrismas. It's not on. We've already had quite enough dung thrown our way over the last 10 years without this to cap it all off. -

Looks like Mowbray is going to take us on a run the likes of which has rarely (if ever) been seen before from a side sat 2nd in the table in January. Poor transfer window combined with his own stubbornness 2 points from 12, no goal in 374 mins. Khedra and Dolan both did way more in 15 mins than Gallagher in 90. Yet Mowbray wont concede he's been a bad signing and persists in playing him despite all evidence to the contrary. That's why ultimately we'll never succeed with him at the helm. Decent point in some ways given the fact we were playing with 9 (JRC and Gallagher) but not what we needed given the run we've been on. Pl Play offs looking a bit of a pipe dream in this form sadly. -

Swag isn't "cheap" either as Gav claims.
-
His legacy if we don't go up is burning through £120m of the owners money to absolutely no avail and allowing several key players to walk out for nothing. If we go up he would deserve great credit but that is looking increasingly unlikely and I suspect he is a still an extremely poor manager on a previously temporarily good run of form thanks to the efforts of players forced on him due to the incompetence of him and Waggott. In terms of the managers we've had in my 51 years of watching the Club I'd say he's the worst apart from Coyle, Ince, and Iley. The others who have only been here temporarily in the owners more erratic days whilst maybe not the answer never had the luxury of the time and the ample financial backing he has had. Will be delighted to be proved wrong in May.
-
The news about Kaminsky is probably the most positive bit of news that's come out of Ewood in some considerable time. We've obviously learned a bit from the Nyambe/Lenihan/Rothwell catastrophe.
-
Contract or the misguided belief that Zeefuick is better than Nyambe is irrelevant. It was the wrong decision and we lost the game as we have every time Nyambe hasn't started recently.
-
If he takes us up, think we could do better but probably deserves a brief crack at it, rolling 12 m deal. If we don't go up, thanks for leaving us another £120m in debt and with many of our best players walking out for nothing. Don't let the door hit you on the arse on the way out.
-
He seemingly won't play Nyambe because his contract is up at the end of the season so perhaps he should leave himself out of the dug out as well for the next match using the same criteria?

Idiots, scum and the way forward!
