For me the facts speak for themselves about Travis. With him in the side we've had two relatively close misses at getting in the play offs in the last 3 seasons. When he was sidelined and then loaned out, we only stayed up on the last day of the season.

Yeah just the odd eight competing for at best 3 places. Whilst we limp on with two sub 10 goal strikers and no decent RW.

I would say that jim because Travis is the heartbeat of the side. If you asked me if Id rather lose Tronstad or Hedges Id say Hedges.

Travis, Tronstad, Cantwell, Tavares, Henriksson, Buckley, Forshaw. How many do you want? That's way too many. I did actually assume both Travis and Tronstad would be off when we unexpectedly signed Tavares then we were linked with Baradji. Although I dont think we're quite up to Tony Mowbray levels where at one point I think I calculated we had 14 midfielders in the squad.

Rover End seems THE most obvious one. The Real John Smith feels a bit dubious as well. Maybe there's a few of them employed to agree with each other and slap each other on the back going "Great post".

When I was on the FF I (nor anyone else as far as I know) were never asked to approve any minutes, the first time I ever saw them was when they were published. I'm guessing that up to the last meeting, the procedure was still the same in that the Secretary (O2G) wrote up the minutes, sent them to the Club and if approved they subsequently appeared on the Club website?

Yeah, we ain't been stockpiling midfielders just for the love of it or for no reason I wouldn't imagine.

We want to have more "meaningful" communication with the Club not a PR briefing with a set of nodding dogs.

So despite a two week old link to Myoshi, looks like we'll be starting with De Neve and Hedges on the flanks. Grim stuff.

No offence as to your prediction of what the starting line up will be (you're probably right) but there's no attacking impetus there whatsoever. I think that line up gets absolutely battered. I'll be gentle and go 2-0 West Brom.

It's long been a bone of contention of mine that the Forum minutes don't appear to show any kick back against the crap the Club are coming out with. If the minutes are to be believed the meetings come across as a tea and biscuits club with everyone nodding along in agreement to what the Club say. We keep getting assured by the likes of K Hod that that wasn't actually the case and that there was actually a fair amount of dissension. Prior to this meeting the defence to that has been that it isn't possible to record in the minutes everything that was said in the meeting. I'm actually glad to see that it appears that with the introduction of Glen and one or two others onto the Forum this issue is now starting to be rectified. I actually welcome the disagreement, make them sweat, stick to your guns and dont let them continue to get away with putting out heavily edited or sanitised minutes. If the meetings are allowed to continue and no punches are pulled and the minutes accurately record which punches were and weren't pulled, then they might finally start to have some value instead of being a mere box ticking exercise for the Club. Who agreed the original inaccurate minutes with the Club? Surely whoever did that is the one at fault. Stick to your guns and if the Club want to take their bat and ball home because they haven't been able to provide a sanitised version of events as has seemingly happened previously then let them. It just makes them look worse and worse.

Should we keep a track of the chaddy predictions and compare them against reality? Looks like we're on for another 138 point season. It's great this, I don't know why the opposition keep bothering turning up! 🙂

The only thing that makes me think there was something in it was unleaded said it was expected to happen two years ago but it all went quiet. If it's been stalled for 2 weeks I dont see it happening but hypothetically at 28 I dont see the players age as an issue especially if he is good technically and not solely reliant on pace. Nor should the fee be an obstacle bearing in mind much of the headline figure will consist of add ons (if met) and the rest is payable in installments. I know you're not knocking it yourself and are only giving reasons why the Club may turn their nose up at it but Im not sure why a few are complaining about the fee - it's not their own money they're spending!

I think a lot depends on how you leave the Club. Has the player forced a move or are his Club selling him to raise funds? I wouldn't blame anyone for wanting to get out of here ASAP at the moment but in normal times or at a normal Club if a player deliberately runs down his contract just so he can earn a bit more dosh I think he deserves all the derision coming his way. If however he leaves for a Club in a higher Division and a lot more money and the Club get a proper fee then there's no real room for resentment. However I don't particularly see the need to blow him kisses and wish him well at his new Club etc. you can still reserve the right to be disappointed and at the end of the day, every other Club is your enemy.

As it's the position where we are in the most desperate need, Myoshi probably won't get done.

You're not exactly "chucking them in" to start every week, you're hoping they're good enough to do a job for the odd game in case of emergency. As should be the case for any youngster in and around the squad. No point having them about if they aren't.
