  1. Evening Mrs. Gallagher. Yeah.........mores the pity!
  2. I thought even Bell was better than disastrous Derek.
  3. You keep saying "how little he played". According to Wikipedia he made 24 appearances for us last season. Was that that bad? My own recollection was that he picked up a couple of injuries but it's not like he was a sick note.
  4. I dont think he's a patch on Beck but it's a game of opinions. We've had worse and I assume we signed him because he was a lot cheaper.
  5. Have we had anyone better than him at LB since Venky's took over? Either way, his departure has made us significantly weaker in that position and I assume he will make Derby significantly stronger.
  6. Beck's absolute top quality. You're being contrary on this point.
  7. Shocking match between Bunting and Joyce to end the action last night. Bet Humphries is thinking "Why couldn't I have got one of them?" Not that you can ever get lucky or unlucky with a draw etc.!
  8. Which other widemen have we had in recent years with a return better than that? " Instagrammable Ryan Hedges"? Last season Dolan equalled Hedges output in the 4 years Hedges has been at the Club. But Im sure you know that already.
  9. Someone beat you to it with that quip and he was wrong as well.
  10. You manage his minutes if he looks like he's struggling. Should be able to play every day at that age.
  11. If you dont play him, you'll never know! Agree with other posters, if you're good enough you're old enough. I think his is a different argument to the one about any old academy player being put in for the sake of it to get the minutes up.
  12. Probably not in terms of quality. We'd probably still be waiting to make our first signing though if he was still here.
  13. I don't get the total obsession with Mcllroy. Yes, I know he's now only the 6th player to have won the grand slam and we'll done to him for that. But whenever there's a tournament on its like he's the only person playing to the exclusion of other UK and Ireland players who might be doing better that particular week and whether he's in meaningful contention or not. As it happens, as with the boxing and Usyk we're probably quite privileged at the moment in being able to watch 2 all time greats in Scheffler and Mcllroy. Scheffler surely won't take long to polish off the US Open and complete the grand slam. Thought it was the most boring final round to any Open for a while today. Not Scheffler's fault, he's just too good and no-one closest to him could put in the ultra low round needed to put him under any real pressure.
  14. Ok thanks. I took him to mean he'd qualified.
  15. Thought "heavy metal" Ryan Searle might have given Littler a decent game. Not so. Littler was unplayable. Everyone else playing for 2nd if he keeps that up.
  16. Although.......the fact that Dolan hasn't moved yet is being held up in certain quarters as evidence he isn't that good. Whereas the fact there's never any interest in Tronstad is no reflection whatsoever on his ability apparently. I don't necessarily disagree with that, Personally i just think Tronstad is pretty ordinary and nowhere near as good as he's cracked up to be. I know most people think differently. You can't have the argument both ways though. I dont think the fact Dolan hasnt chosen his new Club after 21 days is any particular reflection on his ability either.
  17. Damien Heta dumped out by Gilding earlier. Becoming a blood bath for the fancied players. Is Blackburn's Bradley Brooks playing? Heard Paul Nicholson mention him on Talksport yesterday.
  18. Until such time as we land a better option than Dolan to play at RW I really dont know why certain people are bitching about a perceived lack of options that may or may not be available to him.
  19. If we start the new season off like we did his tenure with one point from eighteen. will you want him sacked again?
  20. It wouldn't be a surprise if he got say 7. I'd be quite surprised if he got more than the 9 he managed last season. I dont see him as a 15 goal a season striker. Even if he did, we still need far more unless everyone starts chipping in from all over the pitch which they haven't done to date.
  21. Depends on the fee he'd fetch and who' would be brought in to replacement. Difficult to gauge as there's been no obvious interest in him to date.
  22. Didn't say 5. Said 5-10. Same as last season.
  23. If no-one leaves I dont think we need any more defensive or midfield options. Desperately need a decent right winger and at least one more striker who can chip in towards the goal tally. Someone posted a preferred first X1 a while back which boasted a grand total of 20 League goals between them last season. Ohashi and Gueye are both far better than Gallagher in their own way but probably still won't get you more than 5-10 goals each. We need a lot more firepower and I think VI has more or less admitted as such.
