  1. It's pathetic isn't it, "hope", "would like", "several (crap) players". Fuck off Waggott and Pasha.
  2. In true chaddy style you've contradicted yourself completely there.
  3. You know what they say - there's lies damn lies and statistics. There's your proof.
  4. It's not bizarre at all as Pears has been very good this season.
  5. "We tried to get a striker in but the January window is very difficult. "We did all we could."
  6. Deadline is Monday 3rd 11p.m. I think. Not that it makes any difference I don't suppose.
  7. There's no indication they're going anywhere for the foreseeable so why on earth would you want that? That's the sort of thing you'd expect a Burnley fan to say.
  8. Yep. We were clearly flagging quite badly before Christmas but kept ourselves in it just about with spirited wins over Boro and Portsmouth. For management and owners not to back them after that after working so hard to get into a decent position must be so demoralising for Eustace and the squad. They must be thinking "Why bother?'
  9. Waggot claimed (Fans Forum minutes) that he was in the process of making a request for funding for the January window on 25/11. Unsubstantiated rumours since then that Suhail might have advised Waggott it would be a bad time to ask them so not to bother. Still 6 days or so of the window to go but so far the proof of the pudding etc etc
  10. I'm guessing you don't know any differently. From memory It's not the first time that particular suggestion has been made and it wasn't him who made it originally.
  11. Was it not you who posted the other day that we'd made an increased "take it or leave it" offer of 1m E expiring on Friday whereas they wanted 1.2m? Either way doesn't really look like it's happening, tyre kicking as usual.
  12. SHOULD be well within our ballpark after all the recent sales shouldn't it? Sell SS for £9m, bring this guy in for '6m. That's how it'd work at a normal Club.
  13. You're getting boring on Pears now. He's had a fairly good season overall.
  14. You're contradicting yourself completely there.
  15. OneEustace was completely wide of the mark with a major prediction in summer. (I think)
  16. They're only supposed to provide a personal guarantee. Which seemingly they're not willing to do otherwise they would have discontinued the proceedings.
  17. Do you think they know enough about Kargbo or are interested enough to go "Yeah go ahead, sign him if you want but only go up to £1m E , to be honest we don't think he's worth £1.2m" (Bearing in mind that according to most they don't even know when we're playing)
  18. That was then and this is now. How much have they put in over the last couple of years as opposed to monies brought in.?
  19. I bet it isn't the owners telling Waggott to put deals at risk and cut corners by haggling over a couple of hundred thousand Euros or so.
  20. You wouldn't put it past them. His "replacement" is already in the building and is clearly far worse so it's just the sort of bat shit crazy move they'd make just in case our chances haven't been destabilised enough already.
  21. That's the top and bottom of it. Our recruitment SHOULD centre around identifying which players we think would really improve the team or squad roughly within our budget and go out and get them. Pay a little bit extra if necessary if we think he's the right one. Instead the search seems to centre around not going beyond a certain price rather than the specific suitability of the player for us, as a result of which we always miss out on our initial targets and nearly always end up on our C or D list (at best) towards the end of the window. And even then we never seem willing to pay the asking price which more often than not leads to a Mexican standoff and us missing out leaving us in last chance saloon scatting about for anyone left on loan in the last day or two. Been going on for years but particularly noticeable this window given our dire need to recruit at the start of the .month and the fact any funding shouldn't have been a problem in light of the recent sales.
  22. Why would anything be close? We haven't matched the asking price.
  23. Yeah, was going to say you can bring a keeper in an emergency anyhow can't you?
  24. I think you're letting your imagination run away with you a bit, I can't see any possible advantage to "John" arising out of that scenario.
