  1. I don't think we do. Travis is the key miss.
  2. Ohashi and Gueye or Ennis/Telalovic/Hirst? What about Beck and Batth? Theoretically Cantwell looked a great signing at the time as well.
  3. I got criticised on here yesterday for saying my minimum expectation before every home game was a win. Obviously I know we're not going to win every home game in practice and expectations are further tempered by injuries or loss of form at any given time. In my case it's more a case of refusing to accept that anything other than a win at home is a good result rather than actually expecting us to win every time. It does get a bit tedious reading certain posters predicting we're going to win every week though regardless of the opposition and form. It's as if they think it makes them a better fan than everyone else and really renders posting the prediction pointless.
  4. OK fair enough, it's looking like you may be right in that respect. I might have been mistaken in wrongly assuming Cantwell is a lot better than he actually is. When I watch him though I don't see a player lacking in ability, more a player who rarely gets out of first or second gear.
  5. I'm afraid you're going to be sorely disappointed.
  6. He doesn't, Travis does as we've seen in the last couple of games.
  7. I don't agree really. That's just exonerating poor performances from Cantwell. If he WAS creating chance after chance and there was no-one there to convert them, then it wouldnt be ideal but at least we'd be half way there. We haven't even got that from him. Anyone could look good with a stellar cast around them.
  8. I don't think we'll get absolutely battered score wise but we haven't got a szmodics to nick one on the break either. 2-0 Leeds.
  9. The rumours are that Cantwell will be on a much higher wage than Sigurdsson and indeed the rest of the squad though so to be honest I don't think we can afford to carry him whether or not the fee for him appeared relatively cheap. He was meant to be our talisman not a passenger.
  10. Agree with the general sentiment but in devil's advocate mode ACD and Leonard have barely featured and pro rata Weimann's output hasn't been bad for a squad player. We need to add more firepower to the squad somehow though. You can't rely on keeping a clean sheet every game.
  11. As you rightly say that he needs to bring more to the team, is he really "a class act" or is he a bit like Buckley in terms of having bags of natural talent but rarely ever making the most of it? I really really want him to do well and blow our socks off but to date I'm far from convinced. Adam Wharton is a "class act" who often looks a cut above more experienced and even elite opposition. This fella, I'm not so sure.
  12. I think we all knew deep down it was going to end sooner rather than later but it's still bitterly disappointing to turn in such a poor performance and result (at home) regardless of whether you've overperformed previously.
  13. First part is factual. 2nd part is an opinion, may turn out to be correct, may not. If he'd said it at the same stage in any of the last 3 seasons he'd have been proved to be correct. In the circumstances therefore you are quite right to question whether it is actually an over-reaction unlike your bold assertion originally.
  14. Was that rude? If so I apologise.
  15. All very well being a smart arse. Obviously we aren't going EVERY home game but BEFORE kick off what do you expect? A draw?
  16. Not at all but when we start on a few bad results I tend to treat the run as starting from the first of those.
  17. I expect us to win our home games. One point from two home games. Maybe if we'd beaten Millwall, the point against Sunderland would have looked acceptable. Then with today, that would have been one bad result but then again if my Aunty would have had balls and all that.
  18. It gets worse, it is actually three disappointing results.
  19. It's hardly surprising though is it after three successive second half collapses** in the preceding seasons. ** Relative to the first half.
  20. Once we drop out of the top six, I don't see us getting back in. I hope I'm wrong of course.
  21. Yes, Forever Blue describing everyone's views as the "usual over-reaction"!
  22. Nail on head there I'd say. If he's playing like this when we're in and around the play off positions I dread to think what he'll be like if we slide down the table and he really spits his dummy out
  23. Wouldn't say it's an over-reaction. Sounds like we we absolutely terrible today and you're agreeing with everyone else that we need attacking reinforcements.
