  1. Glad to see we're bringing in that extra "quality" we were after to help the squad.........
  2. I know that is the reason he's doing it obviously, but I have even less respect for his output if he actually thinks exactly the opposite.
  3. Not listened to the whole thing yet, the first 15 mins, on the last two defeats was very good, but if he's saying what he REALLY thinks on here and taking the LT's shilling to write as though everything is normal and nothing is untoward in the newspaper, does that not make it even worse?
  4. Terrific article. It's a godsend to have a bit of quality and realism in the LT as an antidote to Jackson's drivel.
  5. This RJS bloke is almost constantly anti Eustace . Makes Eddie look like a huge fan. There's also an account in there in the name of RoverEnd which sticks out like a sore thumb. He is constantly counselling against going up in the play offs, wants us to build slowly, he doesn't want us spending any money this window and wants us to blood youngsters for the rest of the season as he sees this year's work (avoiding relegation) as done. Then whenever he posts, everyone ends up invariably agreeing with him.! A lot of them on there look like Club plants or paid bots, if not they have major problems.
  6. I don't blame Eustace but that's been going on for a while now with him expressing the hope that existing members of the squad could step up in several different interviews. Probably when he realised he wasn't going to get any worthwhile backing.
  7. The comments on the LT annoy me so much I've tried registering on there a few times but the site won't validate my e-mail address. Anyone else had the same problem?
  8. Explains a lot, particularly the poor staff retention and probably the Mcguire/O Brien debacles as well.
  9. 100%. As I've said since the start of the window we should have identified our targets, been aware of how much everyone wants, cleared it with the owners and been ready to go on January 1st. We have a veritable army of analysts - what the fuck do they do all year, churn out a list of players we cant afford?
  10. I don't think it made any difference that Sharpe was a Rovers fan, he wasn't prepared to bite the hand that fed him either. Understandably so I suppose but no use to supporters if you want a "critical friend" in the media. Cryer was the last one to have a real pop I think about Kean?
  11. "The Kargbo news" Ah yes, we're supposedly interested. So interested in fact that we're not prepared to offer what his Club want for him. So that will no doubt come to nothing as well. But I suppose it makes it look like we're doing something. All a bloody con.
  12. So are you a separate entity to the official DSC and if so what is the reason. Do you feel a need for it?
  13. Same. Have said it before. He's Arthur Daley without any of the charm. Could be marginally worse I suppose. Could be still sat here with the team dodging the dog turds down at Pleasington wondering when the new £20m state of the art training complex was going to be built.
  14. Have you ever read such a disheartening load of bullshit in your life? The manager must be beside himself. "Try" "aim" "hope" it's always jam tomorrow (which never materialises) with this chancer, never "We will" or "We can" do anything. Instead of all that flowery prose signifying absolutely nothing he might as well have just given us the line he spins to the Fans Forum - "We're looking into it". Looks also like it's going to pan out as I predicted yesterday. Couple of cheap short term signings to cover the recent injuries and the original priority positions which will cost more money to fill will be conveniently brushed under the carpet and forgotten about.
  15. Not shooting the messenger but 22 days of the window gone and we're only just "stepping up our interest" in a player with 3 League games out of 4 already lost this month. We are so unprofessional.
  16. Tend to agree. That one isn't setting my pulses racing.
  17. I doubt he has any information of his own, he's basically only rehashing what Paul Mani said on here a couple of weeks ago.
  18. I took it as a somewhat tongue in cheek comment in light of the new injury situation rather than hard info tbf.
  19. I wouldn't call them thick but they certainly seem to think enough of the fan base are to get away with it. Obvious examples that spring off the top of the head recently are Waggot trying to con everyone about the sale of the training ground, the incorrect narrative that sprung up from somewhere that the V's had to pay "double" if sending money over and Rudy trying to crack on that the reason we couldn't spend money was we only received incoming fees in installments.
  20. I actually thought of you when posting and wondered whether you should be cited as someone who shouldn't be allowed to write it. On this particular occasion and of course no offence intended. Lol.
  21. That would tend to suggest new bodies are needed even more urgently than before the injuries occurred . And they were critical to our chances even before that. What do we reckon - more cheap short term deals or loans to plug the gaps caused by injury at RB and midfield whilst the original "priority" positions of pacy winger and striker ( which would entail shelling out decent money) are conveniently forgotten about and remain unaddressed? Followed by much crowing about having made 4-5 "new signings" on Feb 3rd?
  22. That's rubbish. Even if we perform like Southampton, we'll take the £100m + thanks. Would put the Club in a much better position.
  23. Yep, never known it so quiet on the rumour mill. The lack of actual links, from anywhere be they credible or downright bs, would tend to suggest we're not that active. Most tellingly, having seemingly been told there was some money to spend originally, the manager seems less and less confident about it, and more and more deflated about the situation with every interview which suggests even he no longer believes there'll be any worthwhile incoming activity.
  24. I think you two are splitting hairs somewhat. You can be a fan of "Rovers" (The Club that has existed since 1875) and want the best for it whilst simultaneously not being a fan of "Rovers" (The Club, ownership and management as it has operated for the last few years) Imo.
