  1. He’s a performance related manager. Ok. He’s said it before. But he’s also said:
  2. I’d like a market where could bet on Mowbray still being in a job. Put money on it then if he goes great but if he stays we’re all quids in.
  3. I said something very similar when we lost the 9 from 11 3 years ago. Sad fact is he’s not hiding because he’s bulletproof.
  4. I reckon the very unfancied Stoke (who were all at sea when played them first time) provided the blueprint on how to beat rovers in December this season. Run a tight shop defensively and rovers will not score. If go ahead then let rovers have the ball as no attempts will be made to get into the oppositions final third. Think in that game we had 70% possession losing 1-0.
  5. If the result is going to be a defeat then make it a massive one so he can’t hide behind wasn’t a thumping line.
  6. Well I thought it was definitely a freekick. It was inside the box then a penalty. 🤷‍♂️
  7. Season total failure Doesn’t know his best team Players in wrong position Players out of contract. Questioned how many actually deserve a new contract Last time played well was in November vs pne worst home form in 15 years possession effectively a con with it all in our third Goal scoring side a myth based on the games vs teams with 10 men Coventry, Wycombe, pne and the other one
  8. Could it be. 5 minutes of sense from our local media. Sure they’ll forget and put on their I ♥️ Mowbray T-shirts on for the post-mortem
  9. Agreed. We don’t need to be a shambles but with incompetent absentee owners, a hapless ceo and a self serving manager all we’ll ever be is a shambolic embarrassment and a punchline.
  10. He most likely get a bit of shut eye particularly if he’s been kept awake during his usual nap time of 15:00-17:00
  11. The new training ground will be a soft play area and a Toby carvery off the m65. 🤣. Good lad. * It is refreshing when people, particularly in the public eye, can see rovers for the shambles that we are.
  12. I wish I could say I believed it was. But even if we lost 10-0 I just don’t see it. He’s never going to walk, his bezzy mate won’t sack him and I’d be astonished if the Venkys know we’re playing or where we are in the league. He has an autonomy unrivalled in football management.
  13. I know it’s been posted on this site somewhere but I cannot find it. Does anyone have a list of the players who are out of contract this summer
  14. No. He’s not the only reason though. I won’t be buying one for the following reasons, in order: 1 venkys - Venky apologists often say it’s their club they can do what they want. In that case they can fund it with their billions. 2 Mowbray - football is shite, really dislike (edging towards hate) the man, mostly I just don’t believe in his journey. 3 Swag - a con man trying to milk every penny he can from the fanbase while systematically destroying the fabric of the club.
  15. Zero chance of him walking. 1 he’ll not get paid over a million pounds a season at any other club ever again. 2 he’ll never get a job where he operates under such little pressure/expectations ever again. 3 he’ll never get a job with such an apathetic fanbase with such low expectations. 4 he’ll never get a job where he has such a free reign at a club. 5 he’ll never managed at another club where he can waste 12 million on 2 strikers and still complain he’s not got attacking talent. 6 I doubt he’ll ever manage a championship team again. 7 he’ll not come across a fanbase where large swathes will gobble up the crap he comes out with. 8 he’ll certainly not have his very own flag paid for by the club. He knows how good he’s got it here. As a side note I do think it’s a different proposition a football manager walking compared to one of us leaving our respective jobs. He probably already has more money in the bank than he can spend in a lifetime so it’s hard to compare him walking away with the ramifications of the average Joe walking out on a job but even so I think he’s too stupid and arrogant to see he’s failing anyway.
